Feeley is a gangsta

Any great coach will tell you his most imports today hire is his strength coach. They are with the players more than any other coach. They are the foundation of everything. It’s essential to have a top flight strength and conditioning program if you want to compete for titles.

Good article, Christy! I am really liking John Campbell, I think he will be a good one for us. Good to hear the players taking initiative. Get those boys ready, Feeley!

He may not be Tommy Moffitt 2.0 but he's sure better than Gus Felder....
So far this guy has been the goods. Time will tell if he’s done enough, but at least the board isn’t complaining anymore that we passed on that dude from Louisiana. And yes, I’m pretty sure I was one of those people. I’ll continue to eat crow if we look good on the field.

Why do the “show me on the field” guys even read this board during the offseason? Or click on threads like these and read the articles just to talk ****. I don’t see the point.
This is the only time I’ve ever said anything remotely close to “show me on the field”.. only said that because i feel like we heard a lot of positives when we started out with Gus.. I’m sold on Feely but i just hope to see the positivity off the field brought onto the field

Whenever there is a coaching change, the buzz always comes out about S&C and the OC. I gotta see how it plays out.

Love the fact Reed is an inspiration, Reed exemplifies what being a Cane is all about. Love the fact ex-players stay committed to the U, especially since so many have been great NFL performers and are highly respected. Nothing like having a former hero to be on your side and encouraging you to be the best you can be.

There were some good threads on here a while back about the different S&C philosophies. I wonder where he stands in relation to those philosophies. The consensus seemed to be that Moffitt represented the approach that was favored by those posters with knowledge in this area. Does anybody know where Feeley stands in relation to those philosophies?

The philosophy at UM should always be this... Be meaner, faster, and in better shape than everyone we play. It’s okay if we weigh less and are shorter. Just ask ND when they came down here. They had the biggest dudes I’ve ever seen in warm ups for a college game.

Did we hear good things about Felder? I remember a lot of posters complaining about whatever workout system he adheres to. Like too much bulk not enough fast twitch work, or some such thing.

Besides, Dudes cholesterol number is higher than his bench press number, and his blood type is Crisco. Just looking at the guy was worrisome.

Oh yea, but at least his Christness definds him.
