Fedora not getting Temple job.

The thing I see with Fedora is he would leave in one year then we would promote from within someone who shouldn't be calling plays to run his offense

Who cares if he leaves for an HC job thats a good thing. I love both Fedora & applewhite both are A+ hires but gimme fedora over apples all day. His offense are statistically better and he would help miami vastly. UNC failed him not vise versa just look at who they hired right now they are a joke

that can easily be planned for with the QB coach hire and even work out to an advantage if we do it right

I'm not interested in Fedora at this point. If he took the UM OC job, he'd be looking for a HC job soon after. He'd be here 1-2 years tops. I want someone committed to 3-4 years.

Not me, don't care. If we get Fedora, win games for 1-2 seasons and he turns our OC position into a P5 HC job in 2 years or less, we will have ZERO problem finding another great OC to fill his spot.

I really don't get this line of reasoning that we need to find a guy who wants to be here forever.

This...and the []_[] has generally always been a transition point for coaching careers..

I think that we are all missing the big picture:

1. We will no longer have a boring, predictable and incompetent OC in Richt.

2. If we get Fedora for 1 year or Allewhite for 2 years (or whenever it may be), it is not a boring and predictable offense that Mark Richt is running.

3. We should have competent coaches that can do their jobs in making these kids better (and no instances of nepotism) at running an offense that will not be a stale and boring offense.

Seems like a win, win, win to me. I/we (and especially the recruits) just want to know who the coaches are going to be so that they can salvage the recruiting class with the best talent still available.

If the last few weeks or months has taught us anything, it should be that the word ‘expected ‘ is overused and doesn’t mean what it used to. If a headline reads ‘....somebody expected to go here...’...I now immediately dismiss it as false.

I can't get past Applewhite hire Onofrio..........

And for anyone who says, "well his specialty is on the offensive side", that means you should know a **** defense when you see one!

So you're saying there's a chance. ;)

Like many of you, I was kinda sold on Applewhite and now I just want Applewhite for OC.
