Fedora not getting Temple job.

Seems many of you are forgetting Fedora is still getting paid. If he wants to be a HC he can wait a year it wont hurt his pocket. Furthermore it only cements the theory he would leave here as soon as the 1st decent HC offer was available.

I prefer Applewhite after watching tape. @Lance Roffers got me started on it after pointing out that Applewhite calls and designs plays to attack specific defenses rather than calling plays from a package on 3rd downs.
Yea because richt would never attack a defense weakness or try to get favorable matchups. Dude would just call his same 6 plays every week no matter what the defense did.

My only fear is Fedora is out the door after this year when we win the ACC and get a place at the table in the playoffs.

He's consistently had better offenses than Applewhite....That's a statistical fact.

He never scored 40ppg as a playcaller. Applewhite did as an OC in 2015 for Houston and they went 13-1.... That's a statistical fact too.

(Insert you saying: "It wasn't his playbook! It was Hermans! That doesn't count!")

Blah blah..we have heard this all before. Its getting old.

Roffers sold me on Applewhite as well. The fact that he can call plays on 3rd down that suit what the defense is giving him and not from a predesigned package I think is huge.

I'm not interested in Fedora at this point. If he took the UM OC job, he'd be looking for a HC job soon after. He'd be here 1-2 years tops. I want someone committed to 3-4 years.
Yes, lets hire someone that's not good enough to get poached.

You need to hire someone that will be gone in 2 years!! That means you hired the right person. What you really need to do is have someone on your staff you groom for these two years so he can take over (Tee Martin maybe?)
