Feagles gone

This is a weird one to me.

Our recent track record with legacies has been poor;
-Ray Lewis III
-Irvin
-all of Edge's 37 cousins, nephews etc.. that played for us

Positive legacies to note:
-Patchan (not bad)
-Chik

Of all of the legacies, Feagles was arguably the highest rated and the one with the most hype behind him to come in and be a day-1 starter/impact player. I mean, he has a HALL OF FAME punter father... but man, I have never seen a football player his size play so scared. Punters are basically a protected species in modern football. Instead of sending DJ Dallas to a shrink, they shoulda sent this kid. Gotta be stronger in the head.

Good luck kiddo.

Best of luck to you Zach. I know your time at Miami was turbulent and honestly you were pretty horrible here but I wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors. You picked Miami and wanted to be a Cane and we all wanted you to live up to your fathers legacy but for one reason or another it didn’t work out that way. My biggest question is why in 2 years did we not try a fake punt with Zach keeping it??? He was a beast in high school running the football and might have been one of the best punters in the country to run the fake.

Not to be a kill joy on this joyous thread, but we've got probably 6-7 thousand males at the "U" and we couldn't find an ex high school punter to walk on?

our new punter looks like the kind of guy who after he punts beats our team down the field just to smash whoever catches the ball

I would rather he had been a great punter, given his father, but he never panned out.

I'm pretty sure all of us felt that way. If we was 60% as good as his old man, we would have been fine.

Watching the kid's high school film and based on his ranking alone, this was a reach...and was a legacy decision...which is fine, but a glaring issue when it doesn't pan out at such limited positions.

I hope our next punter / DE pans out.

How is this not a surprise? I'm surprised he thinks he has a shot anywhere else!

Wishing the kid all the best and hoping the door doesn’t hit his kicking leg on the way out.
