I understand the anger, frustration, and outrage. I feel the exact same way. I am disgusted by this team. To the point that I hope that I don’t remember most of the kids on this roster. I want zero recall.

This season’s failure, to me, it’s like a kaleidoscope of colors. It’s not one, or two, or three, or 10 things that are wrong. It’s like 250,000. And that is an accumulation of over 15 years of mediocrity. We don’t need to revisit that point of origin. Its been well documented.

So lets do a short summary of performance to date.

2022 Transfers: B+

2023 Transfers: TBD

2022 Recruiting: A

2023 Recruiting: A+

2022 Coaching: DNP - Did Not perform

2023 Coaching: D/F

2022 Overall Talent: C+

2023 Overall Talent: Incomplete

2022 Overall Depth: C

2023 Overall Depth: Incomplete

2003-2022 Program Culture: F. Massive enterprise failure. Failure to govern. Failure to protect. Failure to hire well. Failure to recruit and nurture. Failure to instill the mentality of an elite football factory governed by a perpetual cycle of success.

Its crescendo getting dangerously close to peaking in 2021 Abe eventually hitting its highest point in 2022. Two powerful forces colliding. Mediocrity, laziness, complacency, and stolen valor from those that Made this program what it was for a long time. No more.

We are a full rebuilding project, once again. The only difference this time, is that we have close to unlimited resources, as presented on paper, a very experienced and deep coaching staff that seems currently lost and absolutely failing, big pocket donors and boosters, and a whole lot more.

We didnt want this **** again. Not again. Not another “believe and trust in me, I’m your brother, lets ride” thing again. We are too jaded at this point. Bitter. Defeated. Like an Iraq war veteran that serves his country only to come back to **** healthcare and empty promises.

We are broken. And this ****** team doesn’t help one bit. The talent plays soft, they seek stubborn and fixed to the old lazy ways. That’s why we ne’er a purge. We might be 20% there but are still drowning in fool’s gold 4/3 star players.

Add a terrible previous culture and a new regime that seems thriving from a recruiting POV but overwhelmed and lost from a coaching POV. A staff that includes at least one industry heavyweight in Strong. A former Texas, Florida and Louisville HC. And
Several other folks that are well respected. It makes it all too much to comprehend and rationalize and remotely support. We are spending a fortune, and expect elite results.

Mario, you’re nearing your mid 50s. It’s time to recognize that you are super elite at recruiting and acting as a CEO, but not as an actual head coach. It’s time for you to hire someone to handle those responsibilities so you can then focus on what you’re best at. If you manage to make these two things happen, you will win many national championships. If you don’t, I’ll give you very low odds that you survive for the next four years.

Mario needs to learn that ground and pound will only get you so far and that there are much better offensive options that will actually score points and not wear down the defense by going 3 and out so much

I was about to call The Hague based on your thread title.
