Another sneaky fast guy was Darryl Williams. I think he ran a 4.30 at the combine.

How about the 20 yard dash? The one that probably means more for most positions?

If so, Devin Freakin Hester is the fastest football player I've ever seen over that distance.

At 20-25yds....Shipman has no peers...I'm serious

But I've seen 4.28 more often.

I think Tommy Streeter had one of the best times for someone at his size.

At the combine, he measured at nearly 6'5" and 219 and posted a 4.37.

I remember Al Shipman. Played back in the early/mid 90's if I remember correctly? Reserve running back who was lightning in a bottle.

Speed is only a factor if the player actually uses it to his best advantage. All I know is that Hester caught the ball 5 yards deep in the endzone against the gator and 11 seconds later he was in their endzone. Easy enough to do on a clear field but with blockers and guys trying to tackle you and the weight of the uniform....that's FAST!

Yatil was 4.35-4.4 most of the time. JG was faster until his bad knee injury. 4.2ish then 4.4
