Fantastic job not offering Mendoza a scholie three years ago

Do you realize UM doesn’t develop QB’s? It was probably best for Mendoza to go to Cal and then have his opportunity with Indiana.

Another knock on Mario’s hiring of Dawson.

Mario hasn't even invented a time machine? Ridiculous, especially for a recruiting-based head coach.

his best offer was Yale and then Cal.

I mean, obviously it was so difficult to offer this kid since he lived a few miles from the University of Miami.

we can't expect Mario and the staff to find a diamond in the rough so far from campus right?
Who tf was recruiting him ? The kid ended up at Cal for ***** sake yall would’ve treated like he was Emory Williams if we recruited him

Or not offering CJ Bailey 2 years ago. Beginning to think Mario isn’t really the talent ID guy we thought he was.
There is a difference between being a great recruiter, a great evaluator of talent, and a great developer of talent.

Mario has the gift of gab and building relationships and pulling in players. No argument.

Show me the list of players Mario recruited who weren't 5* or high 4* players but were developed into NFL players.

Every coach has mistakes, even Saban and Butch, so no one is expecting Mario to bat 1.000. But if he Mario was a great evaluator and developer of talent he wouldn't had had to fill so many positions with portal transfers developed elsewhere.

Mendoza or Bailey wouldn’t have played a snap here and likely transferred out. You would have no idea what his name was if he didn’t go to Cal.

It’s a good thing Bailey didn’t come here. He only got good from game reps. He would be on the bench getting worse. God forbid the last thing this program needed was another Chaminade kid failing here. Can only imagine what the peanut gallery would’ve been saying with CJ and JoJo both on the bench.

This staff has proven that they are terrible at recruiting HS QB’s, like probably bottom 25% in FBS. But you’re gunna blame Miami on not offering a guy who had 1 FBS offer? Cmon man

You've been out of town...let me catch you up... we're combining finally efficient with letting it rip.
I doubt we ever lose a game again...

EVERYONE sentient knows that the ONLY reason to have Mario is for his recruiting prowess

even though we now see it does not matter how much talent we have as he will still lose several times to teams with less talent

so if the ONE thing he is great at is recruiting- how is Mendoza (from Miami) first at Cal, then at Indiana. After he accepted a scholie to Yale.
