Im here to defend Nkosi. I'm just appalled at the level of criticism and treatment Perry has received at the hands of this fan base.

He made some dumb mistakes that he has since put past him and tried to become a better young man and team mate. He did not transfer and didn't bich after not winning the starting job when its clear, after today, he is the best qb on the roster.

This man was thrust into a game, down 28, no run game, shotty play calling, a weak oline, a flailing defense and a fanbase that profusely booed his very appearance on the field.
Through It all, he gave every Cane fan watching the hope that we could pull off that comeback.

I could never imagine sending my son to play for this school after watching how we've treated Nkosi.

No mention of his grit and determination. No thanks for his refuse to lose attitude. Just " Virginia tech bailed him out" "he still almost threw 3 interceptions" " his completion percentage was bad" " he's still not the answer"

If Nkosi ain't the answer. No one is. He's the best qb on this **** roster.

Wow what a ****** fuqin fan base. You guys want recruits and parents to come bleed and risk life and limb for that?

Strap up and support and love on these boys when they die hard like that.

There should be Canes fans thanking Nkosi for his diligence and efforts even I defeat.

If you disagree with this then I question what it is you are truly a fan of.

Most of you have trashed nkosi so bad that you would pridefully fall on the sword before you admit you may have been wrong about the kid.

Kosi problem hasn't been on the field. It's the off the field stuff that screws him over. His best bet last year would have been to delete his twitter account. I'm a fan of the kid, but he done some stupid stuff.

He earned first team reps in practice at a minimum. The staff should have said whoever performs in practice starts instead of Williams starts, but that is Manny making bad decisions in the moment again.

I said I was a fan of the kid, I didn't say he had any issues recently. I said he didn't do himself favors last year. I don't know why that came off as a negative of the kid. I think he earned the right to be #1 in practice this week and if Williams want's his job back, he better **** well earn it.
 
Well said, OP. Although we can’t accurately say he’s “the best QB on the roster” until Tate gets baptized by fire. Nkosi is certainly an upgrade over JW tho.

Agreed, my dude. I’ve no problem w Pookie. He made some stupid *** off the field mistakes early on that did him no favors with fans and coaches however we have to afford him the benefit of the doubt to grow from it positively. All indicators show that he has done exactly that. Couldn’t agree more with your take on the coaching
 
This thread is stupid. Perry got criticized because he acted like a moron both on and off the field. One near comeback doesn't make up for him being selfish, immature and a complete jackass to both coaches and his own **** teammates. You can't be a leader, if you can't even manage yourself, and Perry was unable to do that for **** near two years. Had Kosi been anywhere near a man, he would have easily beaten out Rosier two years ago, and Miami would be far better off. He wasn't, and Miami as a program suffered.

I do agree on the staff as Nkosi not starting is a huge indictment on their ability, or lack thereof to assess the talent and put it in position to succeed.

I don't think Jarren is good. He is indecisive and afraid.

I can't even be mad at Blake because Manny was supposed to take his keys after 4th and 17. Let's not mention mismanaging Bubba Boldens snaps today and putting him in the game at the most inopportune time. Ugh
 
Our problems go well beyond Perry. He is what he is, can be very good and also suspect to boneheaded plays. I’m not blaming him or Williams for this mess. They could leave and play well elsewhere, like Cager...

Not sure WTF you are talking about. Were you at the game? I didn't hear anybody boo N'Kosi coming into the game.

He played decent but lets not not pretend he's the second coming of Tom Brady. He looked better than last year but still holds the ball too long, missed wide open guys, and throws into traffic.
 
The kids are the victims here. Victims of poor coaching. That’s all the legit criticism I’m seeing. We do have a bunch of trolls that say the unthinkable, things OP is referring to, but he needs to direct his criticism at them. Title should read “Trolls should be ashamed...”

He didn't do anything illegal or crazy. He posted a picture with money and showed the world he get *****. Stop acting like he was out stealing purses.

He is so far past that and has been for months now.

Yeah. You could hear the boos so loud the announcers mentioned it as well. Didnt have to be there.
