FAMU band coming

I was told a couple of days ago they were not coming. If there was a change, it was very recent and surprising.

I hope you’re right. And I think a lot more people care than you would realize - at least I do anyway.

They made the change yesterday. I know someone who’s son is a drum major and he said they are leaving 200 band members behind for the Thursday game against UM. I gotta believe UM cut a check for them to stay an extra 4 days in the city.

I hope you’re right. FAMU is the best band in the country.
 
Any definitive word on whether FAMU's band will be present?

Ticket prices for Thursday have been creeping upward the last few days, might be a better crowd than expected for our home opener...
 
My personal conspiracy theory is that someone in Hecht peeped that FAMU/South Carolina State game and saw how horrible FAMU looked and made a call that we had to send for the band to come back down. By any means. I dont think its a coincidence that FAMU got the word literally on Saturday evening because as one poster said and they are right..it was not in the original plan for them to come...That score could be 35-0 by the end of the 1st quarter. FAMU looked that bad. And Im an alum. Look forward to the opening home game regardless!

That would be dope. When FAMU and UNC band performed together a few years ago that was a big hit. UNC crowd loved it.
