It has been 16 years of futility and mediocrity for Canes football. Up until last years Pitt game we thought that finally we were close to becoming an elite team again. Then reality set in with 3 loses in a row to end season. This year began with LSU dominating us. Now the Virginia loss reveals that we are still a mediocre team. Our defense may be border line elite but our offense is way below average. Our glory days featured play makers and game breakers on offense. Maybe A healthy Jeff Thomas has potential to be an elite offensive player. I don’t see any others on team. Our coaching is sub par. We have a familiar problem facing us that we have had since 2003. It is all about RECRUITING!!! If we can’t consistently be a top 5 team in recruiting wars we are destined to be a mediocre team. I am reconciled that we may never become the great team we all want.

Need some mean mfrs on the offensive front and creative play calling.
