False Start U

Which one of you insiders that’s close to the program has a testicular fortitude to start calling out Mirabal For all of these excessive pre-snap penalties

For the offensive line dudes, what do we do differently that leaves us as the only team in the nation exposed to mimicking the snap count?

Why does he act like he doesn’t know the solution?

Tempo and pace will reduce that. Having a series of plays that have rhyme and reason also helps.

We are random in our play calls and personnel that no one is able to get in sync.

Not rocket science. But we making it look like it is. Lucky for us we can turn on most any other game and see others do exactly this.

The sad part is Cooper and Francis are 3 year starters, McCoy and Bell have plenty of experience and idk how Brock ever found his way on a Saban roster. Samson just sucks, undisciplined big waste of space.

Watch them blow up on the professional level and Mirabel get credit for his help in developing.

Think coaches system forces them to be perfect and gives opposing teams too much time to try and mimic our cadence. Well duh, take your sweet time and opposing teams will do that.

Agree completely. It’s all very disjointed.

Only one of the false starts ended up hurting us in this game. We converted on the 3 others. The OPI by Toney followed by the hold on CiCi and the illegal man down field by McCoy almost certainly cost us points and possibly the game. The incomplete pass fumble, picked up PI flag, and WR takedown in the end zone were all pretty consequential as well.

Yep I mean for ***** sake Kiko is starting in the NFL. He was atrocious last year. James Williams and Taylor are getting snaps and they sucked here.

I think the false starts basically always resets what we should do and while we may convert we are out of sync and playing in fear. How May points did we score on those drives? I’m legit asking.

And you’re right there were plays that we could have had that might have made a difference and allowed to us to win… but even if we make those plays and we win, it’s a win that would have been in spite of things.

We are a deeply flawed team that has superior athletes and size. We should be dominating teams like this. Not struggling in every game.

We scored on one of them—the opening drive. I think two of them we converted with Beck throwing to Marion for 15+ but eventually we punted and the other we were already in a long yardage situation due to a hold and didn’t convert.

But I agree with everything you’re saying here. We can’t get off schedule at all with this offense, which is just symptomatic of the larger issue that it’s a flawed scheme.

I personally think Beck was pretty good yesterday, especially considering he was without one of his top two targets. I’d be interested to see what he could do in a rhythmic, zone, RPO scheme. He looked much more comfortable the couple times we did something (somewhat) resembling that against Stanford (and maybe we did it a bit on one drive yesterday). We don’t need to go at Lashlee speed, but some tempo would help in a lot of areas as you mentioned above.

If there are not players being benched for all these false starts . It would just seem to me our bench guys are probably useless
