When you say 2 of them are playing on Sundays, who are talking about?

The only Corner we have who has played on Sundays from any recent regime is Tyrique Stevenson.

MJack & Artie Burns were from Folden & Richt.

The others who are Ivey, JDavis & Couch. Between the 3 of them, that's two 7th round picks & an UDFA, who have played a grand total of 1 NFL game combined. And technically, it wasn't even full game.

I'm just trying to get a read on how good or bad this particular CB group can be. If they're no better than 2021, they'll lose games for us. If they can play like Jackson, Colbert, Elder and Young in 2016 (and equivalent mix of relatively tall and short guys), we'll be just fine.

...

Regarding Ivey, I'm not a Bengals fan so didn't really follow them. But per Bengals' website: "The Bengals' seventh-round draft pick in 2023, Ivey carved out a role on special teams and was a reserve CB in his eight games played as a rookie ... His top performance came in Week 14 against Indianapolis, when he had a defensive PD and a special teams FR, but he suffered a season-ending knee injury the following week against Minnesota "

I took the 8 games at face value, maybe he only played CB for 1 game and all the others as a ST member?

Agreed though our special teams should be getting to the point where we have some true beasts on it

I wanna see Bobby Washington create a huge turnover in one of these games on special teams
No question! I look forward to watching studs like Bobby Washington, Robbie Washington, Adarius Hayes, Chris Johnson jr, Jordan Lyle, Armando Blount, Zaquan Patterson, Shemar Kirk, Ray Ray Joseph, Ny Carr, Robert Stafford, Booker Pickett jr, Elias Rudolph, Anthony Campbell, Jackson Carver Daylen Russell, Dylan Day, Ryan Mack and Romanas Frederique on Special Teams

This is massive. For college kids, this is really a 2 year injury. I said about 100x last summer and fall that I really didn’t expect anything from this kid. With the rehab you get at the “amateur” level, you just can’t expect to be the same dude the following season.

But 2 years out…it’s time to ****. To see him without any kind of brace or sleeve at all tells me this injury is fully in the rearview for him and it’s 100.0% full go. For those of you who don’t listen to the position podcasts, D said that a very trusted person in the building who would know these things told him Arroyo is our best pro prospect right now. I don’t disagree. This kid is an NFL starting tight end. The best we’ve had since Njoku.

I know we’re mentioning Harris and Powell a lot but I’m still interested to see if Markeith has developed any! I remember the kid having great ball skill coming out of High School! Plus I also so a picture of him grabbing an Interception today. Does anyone have any faith in his IQ to play big minutes?

Man oh man would it solidify the secondary (at least CB) if Stafford becomes what some of us think he can become this year.

Forgot Rumph was still around. Love that he is coaching on field. While his recruiting left a lot to be desired, nearly all of our DBs got better under him.
I’m with you all the way on the Rumph comments our DBs played well under his leadership. We just couldn’t land a nose bleed on the trail.

**** got me hard as **** dawg.
