Josh Moore to TE? Is it time?

I wanna see four/five wide sets. I’m not sure I like the aspect of having a designated blocking TE personnel as it pretty much advertises run or at the very least one less option catching the ball.

Run 4-5 wide until Briggs can do both. Mueller too, but Briggs is our best chance of having an every down TE.

Obviously, but Briggs is on the smaller side, Lofton needs to demonstrate health and Mueller is completely unknown. Having to play freshman at TE is difficult, because that position needs time to grow into as you go through the seasons.

Love me 10 personnel as much as anyone else, but you can't live in it sustainably. Unless Mario watched the NFL last year and decides to use jumbo sets.
You're going to be very surprised by Briggs.

This is probably the most unpopular take in CIS history but I with the new ruling I would take Bauman back as a blocking TE depth. I know he missed the block on special teams and was kinda *** all year as a receiver but I have to assume the guys behind him were worse for him to get all those snaps.

Worst case he’s depth if Mueller or one of the returning guys (Carver, Ruskavich, Nickel, etc.) steps up. Counting on a true freshman, a former walk on, or someone we have never seen is scarier to me than bringing Bauman back.

That may be a small wrinkle but no way Mario goes to some Mickey mouse bull**** O vs good comp. It doesn’t work. Ask Oregon
