Per Canesport write up on Dawson's comments:

Dawson stressed that he’s not changing his offense too much with the new personnel, keeping the “base of what we do.” The key is for players to perfect it, and there will of course be some new things here and there added in.

“I’m not sure if the plays are going to look different, I do think Cam brings the ability to extend plays that’s very unique in college football,” Dawson said. “We have guys that can stretch a defense down the field. It’ll look different because of the players out there more than the plays.”

Dawson also said the offense this year will be up tempo “at times,” but he also favors huddling.

“Changing tempos is key,” Dawson said. “But ultimately I think there’s a high value in huddling, too. If you really want to disguise things the most, you huddle. If you really want to hide what you’re doing, huddle and talk."

“it’s a great problem to have” that there are so many talented wide receivers and tight ends, and that he’ll take it game by game to decide what personnel groupings he’ll have.

but fsu will tell you they in a better spot lol

Relationships and recruiting the roster we have got this dude here and will get other qbs here in the future. Just like Kirby wasnt going to get Lawrence during his first seasons of a rebuild but then started getting guys when the roster was done. Smart qbs look at the roster

Per Canesport's write up on Lance Guidry's remarks:

“We have to develop to where we have five corners at least to feel good,” “I feel we’re in a better spot this year than we were last year. Safety is where our low number count is and we’re a little thin, so we have to stay healthy.”

Guidry said Powell will play free safety and be spotted in at nickel at times – he played nickel in the spring but played safety at Washington. Guidry said Brown and Richard will play nickel and that right now it’s Brown as the starting nickel.

Of moving Powell from nickel in the spring to safety now: “It’s important he’s back there, he can make some checks, has a lot of games back there (at Washington). We have to grow that other safety position, have some guys that did really well this spring.”

Guidry said of the young DBs that true freshman OJ Frederique has impressed in particular so far.

“There’s a lot of competition on the defensive line right now. The strength of our team is on the interior with the defensive line, offensive line.”

Guidry pointed to Aguirre in particular as making big strides and said Alderman “is a lot like Kiko Mauigoa) as far as instincts, very, very smart. Kind of a combination of Kiko and Wesley. Has played a lot of meaningful snaps, we really needed that. After that you have guys that happened to play a lot of snaps like Popo, Bobby Washington, (Cam) Pruitt.”

Very happy to see Meesh primarily just playing Safety.

Also good to see Damari starting at Nickel with him specifically mentioning porter on 3rd downs. Hopefully that means Porter and Dyoni at outside CB. Seems good to me. Think it'll very much just be about matchups. We going against someone who has like their own restrepo they like to put in the slot and is their actual #1 - yeah Put Porter there... But otherwise Damari can be a big physical presence, and willl likely blitz quite a bit...

Seems like the LB chart is : Kiko > Wes > Alderman/Popo > Bobby Washington > Pruitt...

Per 247 write up, Ray Ray Joseph weighs 186 pounds. Says he weighed 163-168 pounds on gamedays last season.
They were TF they always look big in HS film but are actually tiny when they get here (big pauses)

Also what Dawson said about different personnel you can run other things. Shows you them boys ain’t trust TVD like a lot of us said.

He said it differently but you can read between the lines.

Guidry has the calm look to him again. He knows these DL and LBs going to open things up. I guess they feel good about Hill at Nickel to say Powell will be safety.
