Supposedly Beck is also much quicker to do a check down if the primary reads are not there. Much less likely to get the scrambling, buying time, exciting big plays, but also a lot less likely to see him forcing plays that result in turnovers.1 thing that I don’t think getting enough attention is Becks protection of the ball. 247 said they haven’t seen him make a turnover worthy throw in there viewing portion.ls. Huge *, that’s not full practice. But if he limits turnovers, it’s a major development for Beck. Outside of the injury, the biggest thing with him was the turnovers.
Cam was incredible, but there were games (Cal, VT, etc) where his decisions and turnovers made those games closer than they needed to be.
Hearing how decisive and protectively of the ball Beck has been is a huge deal.
