Are we sure Blount and Mesidor don’t switch spots? I’m happy to see Mesidor out of the DT spot so maybe him being out wide does make most sense

Or they think Toney will eat in this offense as slot WR always have for Dawson offenses and it has nothing to do with JoJo

I’m almost 100% sure Mesidor will be a stand up rush this season and Blount will not play stand up rush for Miami at all. Blount is getting reps inside because he is pushing 280 at 18 years old, and on his way to a 305 DT. Let’s not forget he came in as a 16 year old, if he would have came in now as a 6-4 275 true freshman, no one would be thinking about him staying at DE. You have to remember he would have been the #1 DT in the 2025 class had he not reclassified. Think Gerald Willis with more power.

He carries the weight well. Looks lean and more like a freak DE than a DT. We will see

Tank Dell Stats:
2021- 1329 yards/12tds
2022- 1398/17tds

Restrepo Stats:
2023- 1092/6tds (Pretty impressive considering all the QB injuries)
2024- 1127/11tds

Not saying Toney will put up these stats as a freshman, but it's safe to say Slot wrs thrive in Dawson's system
