This is the real story of the ACC and why we need out. While the SEC and BIG spent the past 20 years investing in football and sports, the ACC lagged behind. BC, Cuse, Pitt, Va Tech, Miami ... there were some storied football teams "in the day". Now we're the only one of that group willing to catch up, and I only see broke-assed us, FSU, Clemson and very recently UNC (though I think that's not going to end well) even trying. Arguably SMU making a play, too.
If there were even half of the 17 stepping up, the conference might be worth saving. But it's a zombie as constituted.
