Falcons release Hester

He's had an amazing career, one of my favorite canes. I think he may choose to bow out around now and start enjoying the rest of his post-pro life.

Yall saying his career is over, Hester is only like 31 years old...injuries last year killed his season..and he still averaged 26 yards a KR
 
Every once in a while a player comes along that makes the game fun to watch. Hester was one of those. You just looked forward to punts and kickoffs.
 
I still get goosebumps thinking about Devin Hester's kickoff return against UF during the 2003 comeback game. One of the most surreal nights of my life... Will he be the first "return specialist" to get into the hall of fame?
 
His records will never be broken. The kickoff a are getting closer which eliminates returns , and eventually the KO will be completely eliminated.

It's a dying position.

Btw, that Duke return was probably the best but it was called back.

Dude changed gears without losing hardly any top end, unreal acceleration.
