How does this guy have any credibility? Sadly he is right regarding Mario's record, but with the talent rich areas we recruit maybe the next coach will win, I remain a diehard "fake" fan!

This is an excellent and well reasoned post. First off, Finebaum is a paid $EC shill and locker jockey who has zero credibility with anyone that has an IQ over 100. Your argument is solid but I would say that for the most part, the intense criticism directed at Mario has a lot to do with all of the pent up frustration that has been building up over the better part of 20 years combined with the fact that Mario has been terrible on game day with a well earned reputation of being painfully conservative on offense. Add to that Mario's propensity for making mind boggling decisions and his reputation as a micromanager and you have a recipe for what we have seen so far.Mario's record leaves a lot be desired after two seasons, but again people act as if this program hasn't been in the tank for 20 years and that Miami football has been broken beyond repair for decades—courtesy of Donna Shalala and her kill-what-you-eat approach to athletics. Miami left for the ACC for a check and left Nike for adidas for a check, as well. She ran the university for 15 years and saw football a necessary evil; poorly funding it and making low-rent hire after low rent hire.
The game just changed for Miami two years ago (December '21) when the program hired Cristobal and started throwing big money at this program—and it's gonna take more than two seasons to fix two decades of a disaster.
Norvell was 8-13 at FSU after two years (0-4 start and lost at home to Jacksonville State that 2021 season) .... Sarkisian was 13-12 after two years at Texas.... Fisch was 6-18 in Arizona entering year three.
The next two seasons will tell Miami fans what they have or don't have in Mario Cristobal, but a litmus test after two years—based on the disaster he inherited—is moronic.
True. I don't feel like I even know that many ‘Real’ bus drivers or police officers etc..I have often wondered if I was real. It's any of this real? Does it matter? Do I matter? Does anything? Am I a Boltzmann brain and don't know it? I'm wondering like a drawing through pages in a book. I think therefore I am? Do I really think or am I programmed to believe I think? What's the difference? When I fart does an angel get its wings?
I don't know. Maybe there are fake fans?
Need to know your audience. That 20 years of "two or three years away" carrot on the stick is exactly why this fan base is so schizophrenic. The next two seasons will tell Miami fans what they have or don't have in Mario Cristobal, but a litmus test after two years—based on the disaster he inherited—is moronic.
