Fact: wins for this program right now are a setback

How can anyone deny this? Our admin is dying for golden to win 8 so they don't have to fire him.

Outside of Virginia, Va Tech was the easiest game left on the schedule. The only possible wins I see are Virginia (Golden's 1-3 against London though), Ga Tech (they look like they had their year last year), and maybe Duke.

I disagree completely. I think Golden's job is as good as gone at this point. Today our players made plays and saved a W for Golden. The team still needs to perform, our play makers still need film for their draft status, and recruits need to see that this program still has a pulse. I'll take competitive losses, but blowout losses can kill recruiting for our next coach.

If GT is a possible win, then Pittsburgh has to be a possible win. Unfortunately, we have enough talent to finish 8-4 or God forbid 9-3 despite Dumb and Dumber standing on the sideline trying to get in the way of winning.

If GT is a possible win, then Pittsburgh has to be a possible win. Unfortunately, we have enough talent to finish 8-4 or God forbid 9-3 despite Dumb and Dumber standing on the sideline trying to get in the way of winning.

I think we play at Pitt. I do not think we'll win that game. That will be the melt down game. I'm calling it now. This fan base will hit a whole different level when we lose that game.

I think having the FSU game so early will end up being a bad thing. We can't count on everyone to quit on the coaches like they did last year.

Although true. You're forgetting that we have Clemson coming up. If we get blown out by Clemson at home, the wheels are going to come off the wagon.

Anyone pumping their chest out over this win are severely confused.

Beamer/Foster have lost their edge. Their teams reflect that and still were in the game until the end.

We were never going to finish 3-11. A loss today would have made Al 99-1 to keep his job, so I understand your frustration.
 
0-5 vs FSU
0- vs teams that finish top 25
0- ACC championships
0- coastal championship
Win all the meaningless games and choke/ get dominated vs meaningful teams.
I'm not sure someone needs a lot more to fire Al Golden other then them just not caring about the above mentioned.
 
Team will be 4-4 going into the game against UVA. If we can't beat Cincy on the road, we probably won't beat UNC or Pitt on the road. 2-2 at best. Hello 6-6!!!

They had lost 3 BEFORE FSU....... It was just a full year of crap. They'll lose a couple more at least. 50 games of watching this predicts that

Agreed. Don't know why folks are worried about 9-3 or 8-4. We barely beat FAU and lost to Cincinnati on road. Why would anyone think we can beat Pitt, duke, unc on road?

The Golden girls don't care or find ways to excuse it.
You will see them reemerge today after a two week vacation.
