ESPN hates Miami. smh.

Would be a nice win, and even more impressive since its on the road. On a nuetral site we would prolly be a 1- 1.5 point favorite. We will need to play with more urgency from the start if we wanna win. Canes have pretty much slept walked thru the early NIT games and got by cause they were at home.

Richmond felt they got jobbed on selection Sunday based on a good RPI. Their record wasn't too impressive, 19-13, 12-6. They had some nice wins, beating VCU twice and killing Davidson. Other than that, no quality wins. They had some quality losses, if you want to go there. Losing to VCU in their conference tourney, losing a close game to Northern Iowa and an OT game to Dayton. They also lost to NC State by 12. They also had some bad losses, like Wake Forest, Northeastern, James Madison, George Washington, La Salle, Rhode Island and George Mason. They had a close loss to a bubble Old Dominion team too.

Richmond did not feel they got "jobbed" out of the NCAA Tourney. Everybody at Richmond knew the only way in was in winning the A10 Tourney. The deal with Richmond is that they are a decent team that played far below expectations for most of the season. When their best interior defender, Alonzo Nelson-Ododa, went down with a broken eye socket towards the end of the year they seemed to realize they all had to collectively step up their defensive effort or things would really get bad. And once that happened, they started winning. Since the ANO injury they've won eight out of ten and even with him back in the line up now, the intensity on defense is still there. Richmond is better team, but not that much better. UM can win if Richmond has an off night shooting.

Richmond was one of the first four out. They were more on the bubble than us according to the committee, hence their#1 seed, so I'd say they had a very chance outside of winning the A10.

Tulsa @ Home down 18 at the half. Played zone all game -shooting all jump shots 34%, 1-7 3pt. Had a good year but same old Haith.

How is Northeastern, GW and RI bad losses. That needs to be re-defined , IMO!!
