Former 'Cane and MLB outfielder F.P. Santangelo, "the color commentator for Washington Nationals broadcasts on the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network, is on an unplanned break from the booth that has not been explained by the team or the network that employs him. His absence is not health-related.... In a short phone conversation Monday, Santangelo declined to answer questions about his absence, saying the Nationals would explain the situation. A Nationals spokeswoman then declined to comment, referring questions to MASN. A MASN spokesman also declined to comment."

Dang, they banned F.P. Santangelo AND F.T. Santangelo? Scorched Earth.
Oops (typo corrected in original above) ... F.P., short for Frank-Paul. Factoid: Currently 53 years old, Santangelo was married to Playboy Playmate (Miss February 2008) Michelle McLaughlin, now 34, from 2010-13.

UPDATE: F.P. Santangelo, the color commentator for Washington Nationals broadcasts on Mid-Atlantic Sports Network, returned to the booth Tuesday night after an unplanned break that was not explained by the team or the network that employs him, (and) neither he nor his on-air partners addressed his three-game absence over the weekend.... A MASN spokesman and a Nationals spokeswoman (also) declined to comment on Santangelo’s return Tuesday.... Santangelo has been on the air with MASN since 2011. His move to broadcasting followed a seven-year major league playing career with the Montreal Expos, San Francisco Giants, Los Angeles Dodgers and Oakland Athletics.
