F Manny Diaz - postgame comments.

Unsure why anyone has to say F Manny. I might not believe in him, but there is something to be said about civility. People treat the internet like a safe haven for being an anonymous *******. Why not act like you would if you saw him in person? Is it that hard?
What exactly would Manny do if someone told him to **** off in person?

I was giving him an F on his bs.

What were you thinking

That Conn team was like playing against pop Warner team. We shouldn’t even play those types of games. It’s better with more resistance

That opponent let a bunch of opportunities go by. Central something something could've put up 21 on our defense today if they caught the ball.
I said the same thing in the game thread. Any P5 team would have made the defense pay.

Worst of this season is this was the one to dethrone Clemson. And here we are sleuthing at the bottom of the coastal. So frustrating.

Manny the head coach and defensive coordinator doesn't get to absolve himself from the deficiencies of Manny the ****** recruiter. Doesn't work that way.
Honestly he's a much better recruiter than he is a HC or DC.

Or at least he's organised his staff to recruit very well. The underclassmen are much, much better than the upperclassmen.

That defense is bereft of talent....like BAD.

That's HIS defense. He's been here SIX years. He RECRUITED, EVALUATED, AND DEVELOPED (questionable choice of words) EVERY single player on that defensive depth chart.

Sorry, but he's not a great recruiter either.

If his post game comments weren't

"Well that was a controlled scrimmage and it is very difficult to evaluate exactly where we are as a team" "Thursday it will be way more difficult against a team that matches up better with us. Nothing will be easy on Thursday and our team has to realize that"

If he didnt say something like tat after todays game, I don't wanna hear it

The problem is at LB - and a great deal of that is he doesn't let the explosive younger guys play.... and now he's in love with a slow Sophmore from Texas. I guess he thinks they'll make mistakes? But this is a defence where you need your LBs to be ridiculously athletic to cover the space they're asked to cover.

IF we do this right the next HC will walk through that door and think "**** me, the cupboards aren't absolutely stacked, but I can bloody work with this!" on both sides of the ball.

The problem is more than linebacker. Our corners aren't up to our normal standards and we're still relying on transfers. We also don't have the hallmark of our traditional defenses...and that's great D Ends.

Other than that...fantastic defensive depth chart for sure.

He hasn’t stacked the roster like Zook did for Meyer, but Manny certainly is leaving his successor something to work with on offense.

I mean we literally had two DEs drafted in the first round last year - and one in the sixth round.

I'm all for ****ting on Diaz, but only the absolute elite can lose that kind of talent and reload the next year without skipping a beat. Williams and Harvey look promising.

I'm talking about the current team. It's as if he didn't plan for those guys to leave early. Hitting on a couple of guys (and let's be honest one of them was yet ANOTHER transfer) doesn't mean you're fine. This is college football.

Linebacker is horrible. Corner isn't great either. I'll say it again...this is a bad (by UM standards) defensive depth chart across the board.

I honestly had never even heard of this school prior to playing them. They met every expectation I had of a directional Connecticut school.
