I like many on here am a millennial
And as a millennial, patience is not a virtue
Blame it on growing up in an age of instant gratification and instant everything

having said that
If you objectively look at our roster make up and coaching staff
5-1 is about where we should be

the main difference between this year and last us that our kicker won’t cost us multiple games and king actually runs alway from sacks instead of just standing there like jarren , these two factors alone give us 3 or so more wins

It’s Impossible to go from 6-7 to championship contender unless u had a loaded roster like zooleft urban
We have a roster of a team that should win around 9-10 wins a year, beat the teams we are supposed to beat, lose to teams we’re supposed to lose to, and battle against equal talent

my fear is the next two years
If many can string together 2-3 years of double digit wins, I think he can build up his roster that can be top 5 caliber but right now we just don’t have the roster to expect domination week in and week out

we also need to hope for a program changin qb
King was a good stop gap but we need to hope TVd can lead us to multiple double digit win seasons

My fear is next year. We get curb stomped in the opener against Alabama as their offense hangs 50 and there is no King to compete the rest of the schedule with Handy Manny winning 5-7 games. This is why I am hoping we can get to double digit Ws and enjoy this season.

You don’t need a top 5 roster to expect your team to play smart, disciplined football and to come out with some energy and pride.

As the coach, the team is what you allow it to be. If you allow a culture that celebrates barely beating a 1-4 team at home MOSTLY because your team played flat the whole day , then you are exactly that - a team that accepts mediocrity

Happy with the win but the team is clearly unprepared on gameday

I think TVD is a winner but who is next... **** TVD isn't even guaranteed next year, I mean Kosi is still there... Don't get me wrong I think Kosi can be a winner, but dude has to buy in.

I REALLY like what Manny did this offseason to get us closer. However, he cannot stop there. Being a players coach isn't a bad thing. Many of us forget how Jimmy just let them all play their game.

The biggest difference is that Jimmy had a team full of dogs. Manny DOES NOT. He has some dudes that can make a difference, just not enough. I mean so many want to bash A. Carter for his head-hunting 'problems' but this dude would have been paid had he played for JJ back in the day.

It seems like so many want Miami to be 'BACK', reality is that we'll never be back. The game won't allow it. Manny is challenged to figure out how to get as close to possible to Miami football, but also adhere to the ***** *** way we're supposed to play the game these days...

If winning 4 of 5 games by double digits is unprepared, can you give us a word on how you’d describe last year?

As long as the Oline can make a huge jump it will be a pleasant spanking. Defense should hold up as long at the Offense can motivate. Lol

How about this season. Come on SON, one game at a time and one season at a time. I can see your concern but not right now. We are playing NC STATE next and that's what I'm focusing on.

Where has this team Shown a consistent level of undisciplined play?? there’s stat that track undisciplined mistakes such as Penalties m...we are not a heavily penalized team. This team has played hard..I honestly don’t ppl are watching the same team

Perhaps you haven’t been paying attention the past 15 years. You didn’t disagree and my pair is large enough to satisfy many.
I’m focused on this season, was just commenting on the OP. I think King my give the league a shot...

I couldn't care less what's happened over the last 15 years. They are totally irrelevant to anything occuring today, with this team.

I don’t have the stats in front of me and I don’t think the stats tell the whole story no matter what they show. I know what I see with the team and I’m clearly not the only one considering all the mopes on here even though we are 5-1

If you don’t agree and you believe the contrary then I’m very happy for you because you are enjoying the season more than I am. I hope they play a little better and I start changing my mind

I gotta ask exactly what were your expectations when u looked at the first 6 games of the schedule?? Was it 6-0 with a w @Clemson? It certainly wasn’t for me with a team that was 6-7 a year earlier, no spring, no real summer activities and weird fall camp. Y’all saying this team is undisciplined and I’m asking by what metrics are u using?? For me this team is exactly where I expected it to be. Inconsistent at the same spots (oline). But if I’m being I did not expect us to be 5-1 at the halfway point

I don't buy this one bit. You talk as if we've never had to compete going into a head wind. News flash, we've always had to … even in the 70's. We got good regardless.

Our problems are self inflicted. We shoot ourselves in the foot and have an administration that comfortable cashing the ACC check and doesn't want to be outshone by the football program.

With the exception of injuries, the Baga game will tell us virtually nothing about how we will perform against VTurkey or Weak Forest.
