Seriously.

I recall some JENIUS decided it would be a good idea if CFL All Stars played an NFL game. Best of College against a team of NFL players.

The NFL team chosen was the Oakland Raiders back when the Oakland players were all conditionally pardoned from Death Row as long as they joined the Raiders.

I was amazed that no one was killed. These NFL players had a weed up their butts to publicly punish these supposed All Stars and give a clear demonstration of the difference between college players and pros.

Oh yeah. Madden was their coach - and Madden in those days was Mad Dog Madden - he was worse than his players.

They never tried that again - and really wanted to forget it ever happened.

So I agree - three teams having to step off against NFL teams - just doesn't make Willy tingle.
 
So 12/20/24 (Friday) - 1 CFP game
12/21/24 (Saturday) - 3 CFP games, 3 Week 16 NFL games

Wkend of 12/28-12/29 will be Week 17 of the NFL

Quarterfinals of CFP on New Year's Day (3 games, Wednesday) and the other game either on the 31st or the 2nd, likely on Thursday the 2nd. And then that weekend is Week 18 NFL.

Semifinals on Thursday the 9th or Friday the 10th, then the NFL does their Super Wild Card Wkend with games Saturday, Sunday, and Monday

Then the National Championship game on 1/20, Monday, after having the NFL divisional playoff round on Saturday and Sunday.

Me so horny.

Yeah they would have to call the game off if The Panthers played Georgia lol

What year did that happen??.. Lester Hayes was drafted in 77 by the Raiders... I feel bad for any college receiver that had to see him coming full speed at them...

I remember some of our post on various message boards that very thing circa '01 and' 02. When you have a great team, there's always going to be some that feel thay way no matter how incorrect they may be.
