On Cam Ward: His productivity as a player throughout his career is very well-documented. What really stands out in the short time we've been around him is he's an alpha leader. Taking a closer look at the close games Mario mentioned. A couple went our way (Clemson , UVA) but most did not.

You can easily argue that this year's team turns at least 4 of the 6 losses mentioned below to Wins.

WIN Miami 48 TXAM 33This was a one score game with 5 min remianing before UM pulled away with the 64y pass to JG. TVD had maybe his best game ever considering the opponent (5 TD no Int). We won the turnover battle but TXAM blocked a punt . Total Yds about even.
LOSS Miami 20 GT 23We all know what happened here with the clock mgt. But we also lost the turnover battle 5 to 2 while outgaining GT nearly 2:1 in yards . Play this again and we win 8 outta 10 times
LOSS Miami 31 UNC 41The final score is a bit decieving as we trailed by 17 late in the 4th and then scored to make it look respectable. Total yds about the same but we lost the turnover 4-0
WIN Miami 28 Clemson 20Total Yds about even .Miami won the turnover battle 3-1. game could have gone either way
Win Miami 29 UVA 26UVA outgained Miami by 100 yds and won the turnover battle 2-1. Kam's pick 6 probably saved the upset.
Loss Miami 6 NCst 20Miami trailed 10-6 with 5 min remianing before NCst pulled away. Again ,we lost the turnover battle 4-2 while outgaing NCst by about 60 yds. TVD had 3 Int while only throwing for 173. Our D was awesome holding NCst to 231 yards.
Loss Miami 20 FSU 27Decided on last drive with a pick by TVD sealing our fate. Lost turover battle 1-0. Total yds about the same.
Loss Miami 31 Louisville 38Miami won the turnover battle 1-0 but we failed to convert a 4th and goal with a minute to go and then we had that play where 2 defenders ran into each other leading to 58 yd score for Louisville. Total yds about even
Loss Miami 24 Rutgers 31Miami lost the turnover battle 1-0. Total yds about even. The rutgers blocked punt for a TD was the difference here. This game left no doubt we needed help in the portal for 2024
 
So lucky to have this dude as our leader.

His expectations for []__[] & work-ethic could not be surpassed by anyone in the country.

Such a *****HHH move to mention GT. Much better team,, easier schedule. We will know everything we need to know by the end of September
