Talent has been there. It’s been the execution. They’ve been laser-focused the last two weeks, and freshmen are coming on now, filling in holes in the depth chart. Seems like the defense has been playing their assignments better and the OL is stepping up.
 
They've been waiting. A great Miami is must watch entertaining TV, the only other school similar is USC

Been saying it since Tally. This team is getting better and better and winning while learning. Last night we played fullest game of the season so far but we can still get better. Special Teams can improve a bunch. I remember when our punt team would give up total yards on returns that looked like other teams "average" yards on returns. We are not blocking kick and punt yet. We are not scoring on returns yet. And last night was first defensive TD, I think. All those thing will improve as we march toward the show down with Bama.

ND was not a bad team we exposed. They were a typical team of today that imitates Bama. Big and powerful on both sides of the ball. Like NE and OU back in the 80s. We destroyed that style with our aggression and speed then and are going to again. ND game showed we can take down that style team. Bama is the best of them so it will be the big test but I o longer think it might take a couple more year to be ready for them. We will have their rears this year because we have three more game to improve. They are as good as they as going to be. We are getting better, and right now we are really really good.

As long as we don't start drinking the Kool aid. It's what got ND this week (and, playing a better team).
 
California's a pretty over rated state for football talent. It's a large state so it has big numbers but it's nothing like the southeast or Florida per capita talent in congested areas. Defenses suck out there, the culture doesn't breed mean defensive mind sets. Unless USC gets a defensive guru like Pete Carroll again, they're not going to be Miami.

From LA, watched a bunch of SC games b/c it was shoved down our throat. SC pales in comparison to Miami and I'm not being biased. Miami is a trend setter. B4 Pete got to SC, they were a "student body right" type of a team. Bush made them exciting, but no comparison to either the 01 or 02 Miami teams.
