Everyone...settle the F down!!

if our Oline is so bad, why do we continue to run an offense that has to have a dominant oline? Why run hb dive 20 times a game? Why run pro style? There are tons of teams with terrible oline play but they scheme around it, not run head first into it. Fit your scheme around your players, we screamed it about NO D and Golden's defense running a defense our guys weren't good at. Also our oline has been bad the whole time Richt has been here yet we still employee Searles who was bad at Texas, worse at Va Tech, and is a trash here. We also have 10 guards and a tackle on our roster due to recruiting. Keep making excuses and we will be here saying next year, we need experience, Richt's guys, this or that for another decade of making the Russell Athletic bowl.

Also just so you know our offensive line is graded out as the 3rd best in the ACC, sure its not a great stat but we should be able to push FIU and Svannah St around...which we couldn't.

The last sentence has been said every year for the last 16 years

I dont know who was saying that, but we finally got a proven headcoach and in 2.5yrs the improvements have been obvious, bowl win, Acc championship game appearance, another we should have won, refs beat us, top defense in the nation, back to recruiting players that belong here, upgrades in talent is young but being developed but somehow the microwave minds act like coach richt took over a championship roster.

I'm not talking about OSU oline or offensive scheme am I? I am asking about Miami. Why do we continue to run an offense that needs a dominate oline when our oline is trash and has been for years. Its a simple question, why not scheme around the oline and its issue instead of run up the middle for half of our plays? Is it because our "OC" couldn't call a successful optimist game? I believe it is.

Ok Coach where do you suggest we run ? You act like just the inside of the line is struggling . The entire line is struggling I’m not seeing that much greater success with outside runs as there have been inside . Matter of fact we broke several long runs between the tackles over the last few weeks.

We don’t run a scheme that needs a dominant o line. We run a scheme that needs an o line that can block like they play at a power 5 school . Read one of @Roman Marciante posts and you’ll see we have SEVERAL starters on the o line not even playing up to that level. It doesn’t matter what we run if you’re getting flat out beat like that

Let coach richt manage and build this team, he knows what he's doing.

If he knows what he's doing, what's the reason for him never making it to the national championship while at Georgia? How come two years after he left Georgia is playing in the NC game?

We have had a lot more success with outside runs, do you watch the games? How about develop a screen game? Slats? We ran the slant with our TE and it worked well in FSU, how many more have you seen? Can we roll the qb out, how about motion, maybe some form of zone blocking scheme. You don't have to keep doing the same thing over and over to figure out its not working. These dues make millions of dollars and the average *** fan at home can tell you the next play coming up, how well do you think the other teams dcord is doing? Part of the oline problem is the other team knows whats coming so they can tee off, how about not running the same play 3 times in a row for a total net loss of 4 yards? Things like that are a **** start. Our oline does have to be dominant as we run an inside run game, and a pass on 3rd down 85% of the game. The only difference in our play calling is if the rb is on the left or the right of the **** QB.

yes I watch the games and no we haven’t had A LOT more success outside because we just don’t run outside that much. And we’ve had multiple long runs in between the tackles this year . I’ve seen both runs inside out outside get blown up over bad o line play.
I’m not disagreeing with you that the play calling has been bad . I see no reason why a lot of those inside runs for no gain could instead be plays used for screen/swing passes to Jeff Thomas and our other weapons . Jet sweeps etc . This was my point in bringin up OSU. They do all of those things with their offense and benefit from a good to great o line and an extremely accurate elite QB in Haskins and none of that mattered. And they lost by THIRTY. We lost by THREE. And don’t come to me about how much better a team Purdue is than Virginia. That’s a much worse loss

This sht cannot just be magically solved by you internet coaches and your instant championship theories.

And what you're indirectly referring to is winning the ****** *** Coastal.

Sorry, but that "attainable goal" isn't anything that's going to make me feel warm and fuzzy.
Look don't imply that I'm a new Canes fan that hasn't lived and seen the U in its full glory. I was around and attended all the games in the 80s, 90s, 2000s and beyond. I'm am a Canes fan and I get excited every year and I also get ****ed to see what's going on with the program now. You can be a realist and still be a Cane.

This isn't magically solved or instant championships theories this is 3 years now of a terrible oline, yet our scheme has not changed nor our personnel in coaching to fix it. This falls squarely on Richt and Searles.

Yet with that scheme and terrible o line and personnel, we still were ONE game away from the playoffs just last year. With Malik Rosier . I’m not saying sht is perfect I’m saying stop panicking . If we lost any more games and Richt makes no changes then I could see a reason to panicking . But this loss to Virginia got people acting crazy . **** is not even that bad man . If we had a **** half of Kyler Murray at QB we wouldn’t even be having this discussion

Honestly, I'm somewhere in the middle. I get that we don't currently have a QB ready to go (though I do think JW will eventually be that guy), and our OL is subpar, and that's going to make things tough on an offense. In light of some of the stupid stuff Perry has carried on with off the field, I even get playing Rosier. However, I do think that Richt needs to do something, anything, to get things going on offense no matter who the QB is.

On the flip side of that, I get tired of reading the constant whining from all the armchair OCs we have here, because we could run all the jet sweeps and deception and motion guys around all we want, and none of that will work if the defensive line is constantly getting around us on the edge or constantly getting pushed into the backfield, or Malik is making a receiver contort himself into a pretzel just to catch a 5 yard throw. If all you had to do was be deceptive or "creative," UNC's offense would be one of the best in football. Those guys carry on with so much moving around and faking to this guy and that guy, I can never even tell who's got the ball. Yet, they suck. Why do they suck? They suck because their OL is weak and their QB is garbage. You are not "scheming" your way into being a playoff-caliber offense with those limitations.

That said, could our offense do more? Absolutely. Do I get frustrated when we hand off right into an 8 man front? Big time. Could our QBs make better decisions, say, like taking an easy 7 yard check down for a first down instead of throwing into double coverage? Yeah, that too. What has been most frustrating to me about Richt this year is that there are very easy things he could be doing to attack the defense more efficiently that wouldn't even require a significant overhaul of the offense. The running into a brick wall when the defense is blatantly daring you to make a throw is maddening. Why does he continue to do that? Is it out of some misguided notion that we need to be "balanced?" If you can't move the ball, balance doesn't do ****. If we need to throw the ball 50 times a game to move the ball, then do it.

I consider myself very much a realist. The fact of the matter is we are and have been the most mismanaged program in all of College football.

We have 3 Qb's they recruited and none can beat out Malik? Sounds like a development problem.
