By this logic, if Mario and the WR coach (Gattis, right?) can get Colbie to play at a high level despite the fact that he's a JUCO transfer that was only here for a couple months before the season, then why doesn't that logic apply to every other player here too?

repeat it here - this roster as it is is more than enough to not get blown out by MTSU and Duke at home. its more than enough to score more than 20 points on VT. this is a failure from a player standpoint to a coaching standpoint

It certainly can't be argued that coaching has been great by any stretch. My point was that people tend to think this roster is better than it is based on blue chip ratio. The reality is that there are problems with the players, the coaching, and the chemistry between the two because of a huge shift in leadership style.

I agree the roster sucks but this schedule is REALLY soft. this is really a no excuses thing for me bc Mario didnt inherit dukes roster (they were the worst in football in the p5 the last 2 years roster wise). Marios opponents would trade rosters tomorrow and still whoop our *** bc we are getting out hustled (on the players) and out coached (on the coaches).
