Recognized our S&C height was with Tommy Moffett (whose disciples work at Bama and FSU ie: Scott Cochran and Vic Voloria ) u gotta love this guy

Moffett's UM exploits seem to get bigger with time. Sure he is a great S&C coach, but he was only at UM 2 years 1998 and 1999. He was not at UM when we hit our peak from 2000 to 2002.

The kids who won in 2000 - 2002 started their football careers with Moffet. They continued to use his system after he left. If you watch the U2 players said they had a system they used to win and that the kids got away from it.
Swasey came in and new kids got away from doing what the older players where doing (ala Moffets system) and the S&C has gone downhill since. Golden's Hurricane Tough is a joke. We need to gut everything Miami is doing right now because it is not working, and that includes the S&C program.

Honestly, the proof is in the pudding. Who do you think off when you think of a big bad physical mauling team? 2014 Miami? 2000 Miami? 2014 Bama? 2000 Bama?
How about LSU under Saban?
 
Name one positive attribute that Al's regime is better than Butch's in?

Butch - Better coordinators, better position coaches, better S&C program, better player identification/recruiting, better development, better at identifying leaders, better about creating a winning culture, better on game day (and he isn't a game day coach), better at life.

Al exceeds only at mopery, general slack assed preparation, incompetence, kissing admin ***, and maximizing fan frustration.

When I saw Butch's UNC team play against LSU a few years back, I saw a UNC team that physically looked like LSU and at least on defense could pass for an SEC team. I miss that here.
 
It's safe to say Butch would clean house if he were hired. He'd do exactly what needs to be done which is let go of everyone.

And man, can you imagine the flood of recruits wanting to come play for him and be part of bringing the swag back to the U?!!
 
How about we bring butch back with the same restrictions he had the first time around and see what gets done! I bet it's better than 6-7 his first yr!

Butch, much to his eternal damnation - does NOT have a 350 page binder of pillars, vertical supports, columns, footers, stanchions, spars, girders, beams, cantilevers, lintels, pilings, abutments, struts, mainstays, or joists.

Then again, Butch don't need to write down his sixth grade leadership essay.

I wipe my fuzzy with Al's notebook.

You could have added Lally Columns, but good effort, anyway.
 
would take Butch back in a heart beat
I question would present Sr. Mgmt provide resources for a quality staff $$$$$. Butch can assemble a top notch staff
like last time Pagano, Schianno, Johnson etc. but would BOT provide $$$$
also if you watched the U2 30 for 30 remember Butch mentioning Dr.Elko a sports therapist
would BOT provide that type of $$$$ for support staff. Elko is on Sabans & Jimbos speed dial
Butch can bring the program back after 10+ years of Sr.Mgmt misadventures BUT will they provide the $$$$ to make it happening terms of consistent resources ( indoor practice facility ) long term planning ( small stadium near campus). problems exist way above HC level at Miami
President/BOT/ AD with regards to football success

And that was with about 8 of their starters suspended over the scandal
