Thank you 🙏🏽

Can’t see him fitting in at Texas w/ Spears. They could because the talent level and basketball character of the two of them are so high, i just cannot see it as an easy fit compared to with Gaskins who can handle the ball well.

Pope has to prove he can land a five-star without familial ties (i.e. Ryan Hampton) or two five-stars in the same class. So i think we can beat out Kentucky here although they’re still UK.

But people my age and younger don’t know about Jamaal Magloire, Jamal Mashburn and Rex Chapman. John Calipari is basically a Saban-esque figure. So Arkansas as always looms large here. Their class is empty atm.

Glad Duke and UNC aren’t involved.

Cayden Daughtry and Evan Willis would be the best Miami recruiting class ever, to state the obvious. Only one that comes to matching is Dewan Hernandez and Bruce Brown in ‘16

Evan Willis, the No. 4 overall recruit in the national 2028 class, completed an official visit to Miami at the end of September. A 6-foot-7, bouncy forward from Santa Ana (Calif.) who currently attends Hurricane (Utah) Utah Prep, Willis enjoyed building relationships with the Hurricanes' coaching staff while getting a firsthand look at their style of play.

"I really love the coaching staff and how welcoming they were," Willis said of the Hurricanes. "I like what they were about. I watched their scrimmage, and it was very intense. Guys were hustling, moving without the ball, and there were a lot of screens.
"I liked it all in general. I liked the school and the area." "They want me to watch and focus on Jaden McDaniels, Jonathan Kuminga and Paul George. They feel if I focus on their skill sets and what those players do, they feel they could have a great spot for me."

In addition to his trip to Miami, Willis has an official visit scheduled to Arkansas Oct. 23 and plans to make additional trips to Kentucky and Texas.

LOOKING AHEAD

With reclassification becoming an increasingly prominent topic among class of 2028 recruits, Willis is among those giving serious consideration to making the jump to 2027.

"I am still thinking about it," Willis said. "I want to see what I do after the season. "If I average a certain amount of points this season, then I think I'll be ready to go."

As he evaluates his college options, Willis emphasized the importance of team chemistry and finding a program built around a winning culture.
"I want to play in a family environment where no guys are being disrespectful to each other," Willis said. "I want to play with players who work hard and love to win."
