Esptein Et Al.

DiMare, Esptein, Stu Miller and others would have normally been at the press conference yesterday. Does anyone know if they were there, considering that most of the BOT, probably including them, were segregated from the process of hiring Mario?

Idk about those ppl attending any press conferences but Rad or whoever is new AD needs to really consider getting of DiMare the baseball coach. Baseball isn't under the microscope like football and basketball but that program has really underachieved.

Epstein 😂😂😂 he’s partly responsible for the last decade. No longer the “football” guy

Hopefully all three of those dinosaurs are tarred and feathered for there actions against the U. All three exposes themselves as the true “cancers behind the scenes/deep inside the body.” As far as I’m concerned all three of those personal agenda driven @$$holes need to be “ran out of town/the BOT.”

ok. thanks, but does anyone know if any of them were there.

if DiMare is sick, i hope he recovers soon. wish him well

I saw a number of people I recognized, including Jose Mas and Pat Whitely (and, of course, everyone's favorite, Jen Strawley, who got a pretty nice shout-out from Mario). I did NOT see Epstein in the group of people towards the front of the press conference. I have no idea how much seating there was, if there was a standing-room section, etc. Several people were wearing masks (and we are all getting older), so I may have missed a person or two. I think Frenk has hired a lot of newer people for the Ashe Building offices, but he has (wisely) kept Pat Whitely.

Mario gestured to a number of people off-camera, the only one I think that was NOT on camera at all was Greg Mark (and, of course, Mario's family).

We need "heat-seeking missiles" more than we need "carpet-bombing" of particular Trustees. There are some Trustees who need to have a "come-to-Jesus" moment, and others who are good folks who simply don't know as much about modern collegiate athletics as we need them to know.

If everyone can step back for just a second, we can start to see the big picture, which is that the BOT subcommittee on Athletics can be maneuvered around. Sure, you have to engage a hiring firm that sometimes tells you "no" on your first choice, but we cannot underestimate the role played by Echevarria (former Deloitte US CEO) in using a modern approach (Turnkey ZRG) to bypass the status quo (BOT Athletics subcommittee). WAAAAY better than hiring Korn Ferry again.
