I was watching that gave live 5-6 years ago.
Slightly different in that it they would have had to punt with 15 seconds left.
Interesting, I gotta find this ending

I hope we have the money, because we had a lot of recruits in attendance and I’m sure they were not impressed with that performance.I guess the one upside to having low expectations about UM football is that within the span of half a day, I worked through all the phases of grief and quickly moved onto acceptance. I'm not even mad anymore.
[BGCOLOR=initial]Nothing much has changed. I knew from the beginning that Cristobal isn't a good game day coach. His mission is recruiting. He is getting paid 8 million to build a team that is so good, it beats the GTs of college football by 2 TDs, and there is so much breathing room even his bad coaching can't f#ck it up. And his friends with money are going to play a very big part of that - he needs outrageous amounts of money now to pay the sky high suck tax. [/BGCOLOR]
This 1000%. If he keeps up with his tough guy bravado and doesn’t address his ***** with personal accountability up he will lose this team.Im going to try and rationalize this. I've personally had terrible f*ck ups a couple times in my life. Just horrible public failures. Can't hide from it. Can't go back in time. All you can do is own it and learn from it.
The worst thing Cristobal can do is just pretend like it was just a bad beat and roll into next week's practice. He has to call a team meeting and with tears in his eyes, apologize to the team for robbing them of a victory. I'm sure he's told his players he understands when they make mistakes and all he asks for is honesty. It's a two way street. Be honest with the players and acknowledge he has to earn back their trust. And I guarantee they will respond to the honesty and will play their hearts out for him against UNC.
As bad as all of those losses were, this one feels infinitely worse. There’s actually nothing that even compares to how bad this was.Just think of all the embarrassing losses and moments we have had over the past 20 years.
Last game at the OB. NED and the FIU fight. Losing to MTSU, FIU, LaTech, Peach Bowl, Wisconsin in the Pinstripe Bowl...sheesh...could probably start listing a few dozen more embarrassing games.
And its 2023 and its still happening.

If he looks the team in the eye and takes responsibility for the call they will rally and fight for him.
But he has to take responsibility for it and not act like it wasn’t his fault.
Nationally embarrassingFox News right now.....”Massive coaching blunder leads to wild ending and heartbreaking loss” w/Mario photo.
I’m not sure with his smug attitude he can. He is just not very bright.I can’t imagine waking up and being Mario. He has everything to prove now. It’s not going to be easy I’m sure he lost the trust of quite a few, from players to coaches to fans and to recruits. It’s all uphill again from here. It’s going to take a very special effort from a very thick skinned person to right this.
Deserved. It was the type of incompetence and gross negligence that gets professionals at other jobs fired or lose their licenses.

Yup this is where we’ll see what type of man and coach Mario is.Coaches have massive egos. It's not a given that he'll tell a bunch of college kids that the loss is 100% his fault and he's personally responsible for the international ridicule he brought upon them.
If he's honest about his responsibility and if he's brought the right culture, TVD should then stand up and say it was his own fault for being an INT machine. Chaney will say it was his fault for putting the ball on the ground. Every player involved will stand up and confess his own role in the failure to show the HC that it's not his burden to bear alone. That's how Cristobal wins back the locker room. But it has to start with Cristobal humbling himself.
He can start by correcting himself out of the Hecht Center. He just nuked his own team. The players were devastated. Don’t think anything can bring this team back from this.it's up to mario and this team whether this will define them
but he has to be brutally self-honest and be willing to correct any- and everything
He had Miami with the spread lol"There are losses. There are bad losses. There are losses that haunt a coach on his death bed. And then about 100 miles past that is how Miami lost Saturday."
Lakers season started last night! I am moving on as well.I’ve already moved on to the NHL. I’m done caring between them and the Browns
