ESPN writer destroys Miami coaching decision

That loss was so bad, I (unfortunately) have friends that support rival teams texting me sympathy texts all f'in morning. Their unusual approach has been very somber, almost as if they're sending condolences. FML
Yep my brother who is a die hard Ohio St fan who always gives me **** on how bad our program is actually feels bad for me. I’ll get the same thing at work tomorrow.

I was offered free tickets to the dolphins game today but declined. The thought of sitting in the same stadium again where that atrocity occurred 12 hours earlier was nauseating…

With that said. I’m also tired of whining about it and moving on. GOCANES

Im going to try and rationalize this. I've personally had terrible f*ck ups a couple times in my life. Just horrible public failures. Can't hide from it. Can't go back in time. All you can do is own it and learn from it.

The worst thing Cristobal can do is just pretend like it was just a bad beat and roll into next week's practice. He has to call a team meeting and with tears in his eyes, apologize to the team for robbing them of a victory. I'm sure he's told his players he understands when they make mistakes and all he asks for is honesty. It's a two way street. Be honest with the players and acknowledge he has to earn back their trust. And I guarantee they will respond to the honesty and will play their hearts out for him against UNC.

Just think of all the embarrassing losses and moments we have had over the past 20 years.

Last game at the OB. NED and the FIU fight. Losing to MTSU, FIU, LaTech, Peach Bowl, Wisconsin in the Pinstripe Bowl...sheesh...could probably start listing a few dozen more embarrassing games.

And its 2023 and its still happening.

FWIW McDaniel had the dolphins take a knee with 33 seconds left and a lead- and they were up by a lot more than 3.

I guess the one upside to having low expectations about UM football is that within the span of half a day, I worked through all the phases of grief and quickly moved onto acceptance. I'm not even mad anymore.

[BGCOLOR=initial]Nothing much has changed. I knew from the beginning that Cristobal isn't a good game day coach. His mission is recruiting. He is getting paid 8 million to build a team that is so good, it beats the GTs of college football by 2 TDs, and there is so much breathing room even his bad coaching can't f#ck it up. And his friends with money are going to play a very big part of that - he needs outrageous amounts of money now to pay the sky high suck tax. [/BGCOLOR]
