Kelly hates the College football atmosphere. When he comes back, it'll be to a place where he doesn't have to kiss booster ace or deal with a maniac fanbase. He just wants to coach and lightly recruit.
 
If Shannon agrees to take the reins from McElwain it would be tantamount to taking the helm of the Titanic immediately after hitting the iceberg.

When the season ends Randy should also buzz out to California and become Harvey Weinstein’s PR man.

So, Florida is supposedly going to replace McElwain with the guy that runs the defense who Georgia made squeal louder than Ned Beatty…Now, that’s rich!

I truly admire Randy Shannon’s life story, but when he took the Gator job I thought he had lost his mind. But, if he signs on for that Gator disaster it tells me Randy needs to be institutionalized.
 
Randy Shannon would be the best choice to become permanent Head Coach at UF. He is the best recruiter and defensive mind I have ever seen.
 
**** IT. I knew it! When he started making fake reports about death threats he wasn't going to have much time. sigh.. why couldn't we get rid of our retarded HC this fast? gave Golden a 5th year for no reason. I hope Radio gets the job.

Shannon might have learned his lesson. guy never liked recruiting, had a hard time finding assistants and connecting with players but he didnt something twice that Golden couldnt do. He beat FSU

I'm a bit annoyed that they are trying to weasel their way out of the buyout, but I can't expect much else from the Gators. Hopefully they have to pay the whole thing, or get caught for years fighting it in litigation.

Think of this: Would an established HC want to go to a place ruled by an AD and boosters who used the most nebulous legal wrangling to deny your predecessor his buyout after only 3 years and two SEC division titles?
Yeah, some "up and coming" MAC or C-USA coach may take it, but not an established Head Coach.
