If the BOT has such a Fanboi Erection for Charlie Strong, why not hire someone like Butch to rebuild the Brand for 3 years to see how Charlie works out in Texas?

This is a no-brainier.

Cristobal is a clown. That dude quit on UM in like a week to go to Bama. Double standard here - it's ok for Cristobal to roll out when we needed him but Butch is blacklisted?

A Crisrobal hire would be a nightmare. However, the guy made the right move not staying here under Al. Can't hate him for that.

I wouldn't touch a coach who couldn't win at Texas. They have EVERYTHING. That is a no-brainer.
 
Fu** Mario, Chud, and Schiano....I do not want any of those clowns near my program. REALISTICALLY, we should be looking at the following individuals in order:

Butch
Hue Jackson or Pagano
Herman or Fuente
 
Strong really isn't as bad as people make him out to be. He was great at l'ville & actually has texas playing very hard & winning some games right now. He hasnt has nearly enough time at Texas yet.

Butch brings a great staff. I can't get past that. Old school Miami style, fast. Harrass the QB. We should not give up till it happens.
 
I know Rich Rod is only being spoken about in the event VT comes open but he would be crazy to go there instead of Miami. VT is Beamer. They were 100 year losers before he showed up.
 
Schiano is a 10 win coach here. But not a championship coach IMO.

Strong got another year when he beat OKI.

Herman and Fuente may be the next JJ and they also could be the next Golden. Too much risk IMO.

Cristobal get the heck out of here.

Butch is easily the most stable hire we can make. He has proved he can build a winning team. And he wants it badly. Sign him today.

UT also lost two games this year with freak special teams plays by his kickers. Missing an extra point isn't on the coach and even Harbaugh has punts f up games. He would be a good hire if the top of the list doesn't work out.

Re: ESPN reporting, I don't take anything they say seriously since they reported Dirk Koetter to UM as Shannon's first OC was a done deal during whatever bowl game that was in Boise and then we ended up with Nix. WTF?
 
Strong would end up being a shannon like disaster. It should be Butch or Mark Stoops, end of story.
