Top 6 choices were MARIO FU&KING CRISTOBAL :espnsux2: Greg Schiano, Tom Herman, Justin Fuente, Rich Rodriguez and Charlie Strong. Spent a good portion talking about Cristobal and Schiano, but especially long on Strong. Said he would be a dark horse.

Strong would obviously kill it here. They talked about how his first recruiting class at Louisville was comprised of many S. FLA kids and mentioned his wife is also from here? Didn't know that. Also he's on his second AD in as many years and although he would have to take a major pay cut to come here, he would be a great hire.

Also, read on other places that discussions about Herman have already begun within UM, and Butch Davis was on 790 this morning saying he would love to be considered for the job. Here's to a bright future guys!

Mario will get the banner treatment first day on the job. He will own the record for quickest banner flight post-hire.

Why no love with Strong? Just curious. He did well at Louisville and can recruit. He's not my 1st choice or 2nd or 3rd but if we hired him its better than Cristobal. **** anything is better than Cristobal. If Cristobal becomes the head coach I'm done

If this candidate doesn't work out we can pick up Strong in 3 years once he is fired at Texas.

Why must they make this so difficult, the easy answer is staring them right in the face: BUTCH DAVIS

It is a very low bar to out do Cristobal.

Either Strong does well at Texas and we can't get him OR he can't win at Texas and then we don't want him. If you can't win at Texas with EVERYTHING then you can't win at Miami either.

Strong, when mixed in with the big boys, hasn't shown he can compete.

Just because he gutted us in the bowl game & recruited SFL well doesn't make Strong a slam dunk hire. Just go back and look at his result his last two years at Louisville.

His teams undererformed almost weekly with vastly superior talent VS the rest of the Big East. I understand he won a VAST majority of those games, however, coming from a person that watched them closely during his tenure they seemed like a undiciplined, underperforming team most weeks.

If he can't win at Texas, why do we want him?

7-6, 7-6 then teddy came out as a baller.. i would love our defense under strong, but the sample size is not great enough to be sure he can do it without teddy.

to be fair.. i'm going to be disappointed with anyone not named butch davis.
 
This Cristobal nonsense must stop. What has he done to merit getting mentioned? best season at FIU was 8 wins. overall record 27-47. oh and he got fired. FROM FIU!


why in the world would anyone list him as a possible candidate?
