If it's true he doesn't want us and goes to UVA, that doesn't strike me as the guy who's up for the challenge we present. Better than Golden, sure. Better than Schiano, I think. But, probably not good enough to grind us toward meaningful wins. Rather roll the dice with Mullen or Butch.

That has been my main issue with Richt, it has showed in how UGA has played the last few years. He isn't hungry. You wouldn't be getting the Richt from 10-15 years ago.
 
Not putting much stock into that ESPN report. Doubt his friends know **** when deals get opened and closed within hours.

But, if Richt takes the Virginia job, he was never even potentially our guy. I think Virginia sounds like a nice job for a man being put out to pasture. I think Miami sounds like a nice job for an ambitious football coach.

I want Butch. I'd take Richt happily. I'm excited by Mullen, albeit reservedly. I will weep for the program if it's Schiano.
 
U know whats pathetic is all these teams can figure wgo they want and hire him while we turn into a circus. Waste James is castrated

Have you even opened a thread here yet? The guy has more support than Butch from Miami fans in just a matter of 3 days.
 
Richt is rich as **** at the moment and just three days away from an SEC pressure cooker job as UGAs HC. To me UVA makes more sense. Stress free life in Charllotsville. Hands on coaching for a few years and then consider a job like Miami.

Schiano would be my least favorite pick. I'd watch to see if he can prove me wrong. Mario I'd be done with watching.

Richt, Butch, or Mullen and I'm feeling great.
 
So I am the Head Coach at one of the best jobs in the country...am uber-highly regarded...and I take an interview at a school like USC errrr i mean UVA...hmmm...okay...not buying

If Richt turns us down and we refuse to hire Butch then we should just stop the process and wait until the NFL season is over. I'd rather wait for Pagano, Kelly or some other NFL HC to free up than to hire Schiano or Mullen now just to fill the spot sooner.
