ESPN has a positive take???

Outside of the interior offensive line and the sloppy tackling, I was pleased with what I saw. At the 5:24 mark in the 3rd quarter Miami was well on its way to cruise control. Miami now has the next 2 weeks to get healthy and fix the interior of the offensive line.

last year we lost to SMU and Louisville and came up 1 possession short of winning a natty. Now CIS is worried about one bad half of football against an ACC team...who on this board had us going to the natty after losing to SMU?

the point is not to get too high or too low this early in the season
Nahhh this is CIS stop using logic fam we not a playoff team FSU will give us a battle 🙄

To my utter amazement. ESPN and all of the post game stories all have positive reactions to the Miami win over Wake Forest. All of the headlines are about Mensah's record breaking start. The articles are much easier to read than the doomsday threads I read here. I'm pleasantly surprised by the positive press. As many of us cynical Miami fans assumed, the game result would give the voters the opportunity to drop us, like 5 spots. Now, I'm not sure.
Saban mentioned our defense does not look as dominant. I don’t think any of them watched the game as no mention of our depleted health issues and o line interior.

Most reasonable people tuned in, saw a blowout, then switched to TTU Houston and presumed we sat on the ball.

To be fair, you can't watch that first half and not think we are good.

Alot of **** happened in that second half. Am I happy? **** no.

But don't listen to ND fans sit here and talk **** when they were up 13-10 on a 4 win wisconsin team.

Wake can play at SMU type level depending on the game. If we execute how we're supposed to and keep attacking, that game is 50-20 quickly.

We're banged up. We have to get healthy

Lots of folks forgot that in 2002 when we were the defending champs, we were a couple of lucky bounces from losing to f*cking Rutgers and we were struggling against godd@mn Temple in the first half of that game.

There are a lot of things do need fixing and fixed fast, but this program isn't devoid of games where they struggled to win against teams FAR WORSE than this Wake Forest team.

I can’t tell what you are trying to say here. But maybe get your facts straight. We scored 7 on the first drive of second half.
And proceeded to not do ish. Figure it out.

It's generally recognized our Offense went into a shell second half.

Or in your technical case. Especially the 4th, when it matters.

On the outside looking in…

Offense can be prolific when clicking… something to monitor with increased A gap blitz pressure and man on the edges. We either see some better adjustments or it’s gonna be ran over and over

Defense looked leaky at times yet proved it could stand tall and make the plays. I still haven’t forgotten the fumble forced that was negated by a very weak roughing the passer call… that was a huge momentum swing that eventually got wake the TD and coulda pushed the score to 38-7 at that point think how much different the game becomes

All in all… double digit road win against a team that’s gonna win 9/10 games. Only huge negative to me was the injuries they seemed to really stack up

Learn to write. ChatGPT can help you. And go back and correct your post. Miami was not shut out in second half. Fix it and then we can talk.

Wake won 9 games last year it’s not that crazy. Just seeing our weak links is eye opening to us more so than outsiders. They also take into consideration the amount of injuries

If I see 65 starting the next 2 weeks u can basically kiss a playoff run goodbye he’s terrible

Aah, I see now. Learn to see the big picture. Our offense did squat in the second half.

My only hope is we can pull through the tough games and get healthy and peak at the right time again. The first half of last year was pretty ugly. Look how it ended.

I am watching College GameDay right now.

Just said ACC has the top quarterbacks, and Saban paused..

The Canes are shown the W, and glossed over our second half performance. The performance that produced 0 points in the second half.
Wrong

Two things can be true at the same time and we may not be a playoff team if we don’t shore things up— and yeah, fsu will give us plenty- you wait & see they’re bad but they will scrap and make it interesting unless we figure stuff out pretty quick

I did notice national media had different reaction than fans.. Kevin Clark was on with SVP and you could see the contrast there.. Kevin should probably save his cane rants for podcast lol.. SVP even said he was grading with harsh curve..
You should grade with a harsh curve tho. Kevin was stumbling with annoyance tho, lol.
