To my utter amazement. ESPN and all of the post game stories all have positive reactions to the Miami win over Wake Forest. All of the headlines are about Mensah's record breaking start. The articles are much easier to read than the doomsday threads I read here. I'm pleasantly surprised by the positive press. As many of us cynical Miami fans assumed, the game result would give the voters the opportunity to drop us, like 5 spots. Now, I'm not sure.

I am watching College GameDay right now.

Just said ACC has the top quarterbacks, and Saban paused..

The Canes are shown the W, and glossed over our second half performance. The performance that produced 0 points in the second half.

I did notice national media had different reaction than fans.. Kevin Clark was on with SVP and you could see the contrast there.. Kevin should probably save his cane rants for podcast lol.. SVP even said he was grading with harsh curve..

To be fair, you can't watch that first half and not think we are good.

Alot of **** happened in that second half. Am I happy? **** no.

But don't listen to ND fans sit here and talk **** when they were up 13-10 on a 4 win wisconsin team.

Wake can play at SMU type level depending on the game. If we execute how we're supposed to and keep attacking, that game is 50-20 quickly.

We're banged up. We have to get healthy

They have to patronize ACC teams because they know schools are looking for a way out with that crappy media deal they're overseeing

we all just saw a playoff run and we know what it looks like ... we don't have that right now, especially on the oline ... but we're a good team and i think alot of people thought wake was sweet because they hadn't done their research and we still ***** slapped them in the first half ... also it was a crazy friday night game on the road vs a mobile qb and good coach ... also, we lost our best wr and best rb whom had been BEASTING ... all and all its a solid win ... but if we taking lumps with sj, i prefer we take the lumps with guys who will play their long term ...

I can’t tell what you are trying to say here. But maybe get your facts straight. We scored 7 on the first drive of second half.

The narrative will change if we struggle vs Clemson, FSU, Pitt, duke, Unc… injuries impacted that second half as did the field. Central Michigan will show us nothing because Mario doesn’t have to force a hurting kid onto the field. Clemson will tell us who is injured vs hurt.

BTW- brown looked more like a high ankle than knee. Hope I’m right.

So a game we'd normally lose just a couple years ago is now considered a "bad win" by some. And with the unlucky injuries we've had?

Ofc we have alot to work on, but who doesn't 3 weeks into the season?

I was at the SMU game last yr. Walking out of that stadium with some Canes fans NOBODY thought we'd do what we did.
