Assuming the Noles don't step on their peckers Friday night at UVA, it looks like a sure thing as the College Football schedule for October 4th is blah as all get out.

Canes gonna be front and center the next two weeks -- perfect timing for the when the staff hammers recruiting during the open date.

Things could not be unfolding better for The U's re-emergence

They even hinted on GameDay... Petty much a lock if FSU wins but I think even if they lose to UVA GameDay will be there.

Well if FSU beats Virginia, Pedo State and Oregon play next week so one of those would drop. It could potentially be a Top 5 matchup between Miami and FSU. No way Gameday passes that up.

If Bama wins tonight they will head there… FSU losing last night didn’t help
I'm not sure about that. Alabama still has:
Tennessee
LSU
Oklahoma

All coming to Tuscaloosa. I'm sure they're saving the GameDay trip for one of those

FSU shltting the bed pretty much killed game day being there.

Yup, nowhere near as an attractive matchup. They literally have nothing to lose and we've got it all. I would've preferred an undefeated matchup, that's the way we used to want it, but people are different now.

Vandy would beat fsu by 40
Well Vandy is top 3-4 in the SEC. Remove the jerseys.

Bama, no
USCe,no
Texas, not with the half *** manning playing
LSU, I don’t see it
Tennessee they bring in the b12 approach. All offense
UGA, not a great QB
Atm, 1 pointer vs ND. Not sure about the D.

Say what????

Never wanted the holes to be good

People wanted them undefeated so we could knock them down. Both fanbases were happy that the winner of that game had the inside track to the national championship game. It was typically the hardest game on the schedule for either school.

That was two decades and some change ago. Lately it's just been, at least we don't suck as much as them. We wanted their best and when that changed us, we both sucked.

We went from having "The Game" in college football to just another game. We had the chance to have the game of the year so far, maybe the entire year, now....JAG.

We’ve been going back and forth about “rooting for rivals” and wanting big prime time games etc etc

Here’s what you guys that are/were rooting for FSU are missing:

Being undefeated in week 3 and 4 doesn’t matter

Miami vs FSU 25 years ago was big because the field was loaded with future NFL Hall of Famers

You telling me 20 years from now if we were playing them in a top 10 matchup we’d still be discussing how we beat Tommy Castellanos and Earl Little Jr on the road?

Slap some fancy ranking on the teams all you want there’s nothing glorious about this rivalry right now

ACC teams losing to each other makes it more likely we can drop a game and be fine. This is the way

why would I want fsu to get the buzz of having gameday visit them? Do people think that the country still doesn’t know about Miami?

It's still fspoo and it WILL Never be just a jag. Doesn't matter what their record is. But I never want them to be good or undefeated just so the gaame has more "significance".

The past history and records of the teams has added to the rivalry, but that doesn't mean I want them to be good so as to try and replicate that situation every time we play them.

As a Cane fan, I want to win every game, and if fspoo is good, or any team on our schedule is good, that could interfere with that happening and that's no bueno.

They announce the location a week ahead of time but the planning is started before that. FSU was getting Gameday next week before the loss so I don’t see them switching so last minute.
