Absolutely terrible and complete bull**** what they did just now leading up to the first pick. The entire segment before pick was used in showcasing sanders and how he should be the first qb picked. ******* ridiculous. That panel is complete ****.
Yep. And ESPN.com's main photo for the night was Hunter after the second pic cam in. #FESPN

Production for these shows and events are planned and very coordinated. Very regimented and don’t rely on a lot of improvisation. The videos are qued up and ready to go. The reporters and anchors have their little commentary ready depending on the player. Even when a player is unexpectedly taken higher or a complete surprise they still have video on him and commentary.
This had to be deliberate. My brother in law works in tv production and he noticed it immediately.
We can speculate on why they did it. But to say it was an accident or an oversight is just stupid. They knew he was at the very least a top 10 pick.

I don't have an issue if ESPN jumped into the Jags trading up. They want the Commissioner's trade announcements live.

But they 100% should be interviewing Cam ASAP once the trade was discussed.
Then interview Hunter.
Then wipe their tears Sanders wasn't picked #2.

You would think Cam Ward would be a great story they'd want to cover. A zero star recruit starting at the lowest level and becoming the first overall pick. That's a story. I'm not a big conspiracy guy but sh*t like this really makes you wonder.

This is why we obsess on Shedeur
Dude has always been stealing Cam’s spotlight

The Shedeur story makes for great controversy and watchability, per ESPN logic. It trumps everything in their eyes.

It’s infotainment slop.

Spot on. Dude has been *** cheeks for years on his so called “can’t miss” picks, and has a lower batting average than Mendoza. On top of all that, he’s an insufferable prick.
