ESPN bowl predictions (UGA or Ohio St in Orange Bowl)

Give me Urban Liar!

Anything to avenge that effing Penalty Flag.

The only downside will be all the interviews Billy Corbin will be doing with Columbus affiliates about “The Rematch”.

Literally shut the Program down if we lost to Taint in our Home Field.

Ohio State vs. Miami - Game Summary - September 17, 2011 - ESPN

Unless it's for the championship, it's not much different from this.

Their offense was sooooo much worse that year. That's the year Pryor was suspended(handled us easily the previous year), and their starting QB had no business on the field. Barrett comes no where near handcuffing the offense the way that QB did. As long as Richt calls a complete game offensively (I'm hopeful of his steady progression as well as the players), I like our chances against anybody by the end of the year.

Not sure about the relevance of that game. I mean, it was a signature win for Golden Showers, but OSU hadn’t brought the Unindicted Coconspirator on board as coach, yet, and they were still dealing with the aftermath of the Trestle Scandal.

A huge tell will be the game against Notre Dame. The Irish are coming along rather nicely. They’re kind of where we’re at in a rebuilding mode.

That game will show how ready we are to face off against Clemson.

Btw, bet you it gets moved to Prime Time if The U is undefeated and ND has one loss. Epic Night at the Rock.

I don't think playing them in the Orange Bowl would be relevant enough to avenge the 2002 season either. It would be a nice boost for the program, but we need to take a championship for them if we wanted to avenge that game.

If that happens we'll get College Gameday for the first time in ages too. Biggest hurdle is Va Tech the week before.

Long ways away and we are getting ahead of ourselves obviously but ...

I’m sure I’m in the minority when I say I would rather play Ohio State. I really don’t want to see Georgia rush for 300+ on us and watch McCloud attempt to tackle Chubb and Michel over and over again and fail. Plus, any chance to beat Meyer is good to me. JT Barrett is awful, would be a better matchup for us IMO.

definitely in the minority,

hate urban but he may go down as second best coach ever. much rather play first year Kirby smart than him

First year?

Lol, I was going to let it slide.
Urban Meyer will go down as one of the best no doubt, but he is a long way from coaching UF in their dynasty years and has got his *** handed to him several times since then. 1st year Lincoln Riley gave it to him this year in his house. Their secondary is absolute dog**** and their QB is the worst Ohio State QB I’ve seen in a while. Georgia’s QB, whether it is Fromm or Eason won’t have them slinging it all over the field because that isn’t what they do. But we couldn’t stop Duke from running the ball, we **** sure ain’t stopping them. They are pretty **** good on the other side of the ball as well. Just my 2 cents, carry on.

But they do have the Greatest D-Line ever.

You might not be in the minority for wanting to play Ohio State, but you are in the minority of being afraid to play a team, especially because of their rush attack considering we just completely shut down one of the best rush attacks in the country in the second half.

We're gonna' have some competition unfortunately. FSU vs Clemson, Michigan State vs OSU, Auburn vs Georgia, and TCU vs Oklahoma. We actually have a better chance the previous week against Va Tech with Bama vs LSU being the only Gameday worthy game.

Lol
I knew someone would say this. Completely different type of situation here, GT was screwed and played timid the moment it started pouring. I still give Diaz and the defense credit no doubt, but their whole offense stalled when they became afraid to pitch. Agree to disagree if you want, and that’s fine, but that’s a completely different animal when it’s pouring raining.

UGA lining up in the I and running downhill repeatedly with those 2 guys they have is tough for anyone to stop. Let alone a team that is ranked 68th in stopping the run. They have a top 10 rushing offense for a reason. All this is moot, let’s handle our business and make it there first.

They've already done a TCU and an Oklahoma game, which would be the biggest competition. Miami/ND would be a huge draw. But you're right the week before is more likely.

Dont really care who we play, the mere fact that we would be playing in the Orange Bowl would be enough.
