Espn: Bold Predictions Butch vs. Al

you guys know much more than me honestly about the situation and about butch. But honestly do we think Butch still has it in him? to recruit and rebuild an entire program in his 70's.?

I agree he is the right replacement, i'm just worried he was the right replacement in 2006 and not 2016

Folks who are mention that Butch isn't currently coaching are forgetting one very important aspect.

Butch has been on the road. Butch has been to many, many teams, looked at what they were doing, who was doing well, what position coaches are on fire, what Coordinators are on fire - and knows which ones would fit into the talent at UM.

Don't think he hasn't been thinking about that when he's here and there for ESPN. He knows he at least has a shot at UM. And he wants to be ready to step right in - full bore - immediately.

I'd imagine Butch would have an exciting, top-cabinet coaching staff installed faster than a cat can cover siht.

And THEN. The talent evaluations, the recruiting, and player development would be electric. We'd have more top athletes than you can shake a stick at.

And we'd once again be the terror of College football.

Butch staff could look like
Dorsey oc
Kehoe ol
Scott te
Ice rbs
Beard wr
Schino dc
Patrick dl
Rumph db
Brown lb
Barrow spec teams

You guys realize we're a Bethune upset away from something radical happening right?

Pray for a miracle on saturday...a second one might follow.

That thought has been pounding through my head hundreds of times, but was reluctant to actually say it.

Thank you. I feel much better now.

Lose the first three, guarantee Golden gets fired, and play their butts off the rest of the year to show Butch what he has to work with next year.

No problem. Great minds think alike

We all know the OL is a weakness. Why wait for the Nebraska game, to get Kaaya injured. Let Bethune do it.

In the first Q, trying to throw out of the end zone, Kaaya gets hit for a safety, suffering a mild concussion. After that, the game goes downhill. We suffer 5 turnovers.

Short term pain, long term gain. Later on, even Kaaya will be thankful for his contribution to the betterment of his school.

We would instantly start destroying the world in recruiting. Instantly.

Butch wracked up all those NFL stars without the benefit of having wracked up all those NFL stars already. Now, all he has to do is pull out the list of NFL Pro Bowlers he signed and developed, and dudes will be flocking here. It'll go from recruiting to choosing.

He's a fairly mediocre game coach, but he's already proven that he's the single greatest evaluator and developer of HS talent the world has ever seen. And that's enough at Miami to produce a winner. It might not happen overnight, but it will happen in a couple years. It's proven.

u kno the funny **** is they wont hire him even if espn is begging for us to, they will *** this up cuz there feelings r hurt from one hundred years ago.

Funniest part about them being in their feelings over Butch for taking an NFL gig is that they seem to love Crystallball, and he quit on us after being here 2 weeks to take a lateral gig at a college that recruits against us. Strange group of f@qgits at UM.

Lots of 'em, too.

Kaaya is a great kid and an excellent prospect. We're lucky as **** to have him cause I'm sure if the poor kid could do it all over he never would have come here.

Perfect world scenario? Kaaya gets a very lingering non-serious injury (like a really bad sprained ankle followed closely by some perpetual explosive diarrhea) that causes him to red shirt and saves his elgibility for the next, and presumably competent heat coach.

I know he's probably gone in 3 years anyways but if nothing else him being off the field would help us lose more games and get Golden the **** out of here.
