Pittsburgh Panthers Florida Gators have toughest nonconference schedules for 2017

Georgia checking in at #6 because of App St, Notre Dame, Ga Tech. We got zero credit for beating the daylights out of App State last year, but now they are a formidable opponent for Georgia.

"If the Dawgs are thinking about easing their way into the 2017 season, they might want to ask Tennessee about Appalachian State."

The SEC hype train never stops.

Jesus these are the TOUGHEST OOC schedules? Seriously?

4. Texas Longhorns

Sept. 2: Maryland
Sept. 9: San Jose State
Sept. 16: at USC

Tom Herman's "reward" in his first season as Texas' coach is a trip to the West Coast to face No. 3 USC in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. That game is the third week of the season, and the Longhorns can always hope they get the version of the Trojans we saw last September and not the version we saw the second half of the season. The opener against Maryland also won't be easy, especially with the Terrapins riding the kind of recruiting momentum they haven't enjoyed in years.

9. Oklahoma State Cowboys

Sept. 2: Tulsa
Sept. 9: at South Alabama
Sept. 16: at Pittsburgh

The Cowboys' nonconference schedule is sneaky-difficult, and they could be in for a shootout in the very first game. While Tulsa did lose several key players on offense from a year ago, the Golden Hurricane won 10 games and finished tied for sixth nationally in scoring offense (42.5 points per game). The next two weeks, Oklahoma State hits the road. South Alabama isn't a big name, but it did win at Mississippi State last season. And as long as Pat Narduzzi is at Pitt, the Panthers are always going to be a tough out. They beat Clemson and Penn State last season.

This was a good one. I'd much rather play Tulsa and Pitt than FSU. For all the SEC dick grabbing, they could've at least acknowledged a team that is playing an elite opponent (Bama).

Damn. Florida got a hard schedule not gonna lie. Michigan and FSU. They don't have a chance in either of those games though.. matter fact whose bright idea was it to try to force feed more SEC football using the Gators? The Gators especially their Offense don't make you wanna watch football anymore..

- How is USC #5 ? (Texas and ND) They play 2 teams that didn't make bowl games last year..
- How is Texas #4 ? your telling me just because Maryland had good recruiting (That probably won't have a impact this season) boost your strength of schedule?

They are just saying it that way because they know Georgia is at least one or two levels below us just like Tennessee was last year so App State is gonna be a tough game for them... or they are preparing to say how Georgia pulled a tough win out at the end or some bs like that.
