The thing you guys need to know is that the coaching staff is still all over Lane; what else do you really need to know about his talent and work ethic?
The guy is a player and hopefully our continued hard recruiting gets him to flip.

I would simply be absolutely shocked if he ends up at Florida. He seems like a smart kid who is very aware of his long term goals....going to a program that has zero passing game and wants to play Dave Wannstadt "3 yard and a cloud of dust" offense makes little sense.
He may not end up in Miami...but I'm gonna keep saying there's no way that kid ends up a Gator.

not sure if its b/c of our win, our player development or our coaching staff... either way, lane or no lane, cook or no cook, the days of me placing so much importance on a recruit are over. we'll get ours.

It's September. Signing day is 5 months from now. This time 2 years ago tracy Howard and tyriq McCord were all florida. By signing day they were canes. Ermon lane recruitment is not over at all. It won't be until signing day. I believe he will switch to um on nsd. That florida offense is horrid and they don't throw the ball well.

Although I love the mindset, the reality is this approach is not realistic in 2013. I'm not one to beg for anything, but as we have all seen, recruiting today is a totally different animal. AG may not have to beg, but he definitely has to present a compelling argument. The funny thing is if we lose a recruit, the board will wonder why AG didn't beg.

its a reason why we appreciate dudes like duke and darling that when they get offer they never waiver but that’s just not the way dudes are they are looking for what they think is the best way 1) to the nfl 2) to a free education and one think dudes are looking for 3) play time which is getting harder to find the way golden is bringing dudes in. not saying that this is the case for everyone just the majority
