Eric hit the portal after his coach moved on to Marquette and is visiting Miami today. Was on the Conference USA 2nd Team and the All-Freshman team. Has considerable ties to the Canes (played for Moran, teammate of Gaskins)

Thread 'FIU Forward Transfer Eric Dibami Currently On Visit At Miami'

FIU transfer forward Eric Dibami is currently visiting Miami, as reported by Peter Ariz of CanesInSight.



Eric entered the transfer portal on March 26 and has since been linked to the Miami Hurricanes for several reasons. He is from the area and was coached in high school at Christopher Columbus by Hurricanes assistant coach Andrew Moran. He also played alongside Miami Hurricanes signee Caleb Gaskins at Chrisother Columbus.

At FIU this past season, he averaged 9.3 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. Miami could view the 6-foot-10 center as a depth option in the...

I do try to post on existing threads where possible. Explanation for creating long term discussion threads below. Got a lot of flack for posting on article threads where the OP was out of date. The article thread OPs are deceptive after a day or two and are no longer accurate

Lesson learned. Clicked on some links in the key recruit table without looking at the OP title.

We simply can't use these articles for long term discussions on players because:

  1. The OP title can't be updated since its tied to an article
  2. There are numerous article threads for every BBall recruit
  3. In the portal age, the title can become very deceptive in just a few months

Going forward, if there isn't a long term discussion thread on a player, I'll create one prior to posting an update.
