ENOS OUT

Honestly, I think Enos should stay as long as Manny. I imagine a new OC every year wont improve things and wont help recruiting. Can they just fire Manny in about 4 hours?

LSU fans were saying the samething about Eddie O until he hired Joe Brady and in no way am i saying Manny is like O but the right OC can change a lot of things

Eh I think it shows ability to adapt. I understand you want to run a certain system with a certain type of player, but when you don;t have that player, don't continually try to push a round peg in a square hole and think it is the players, and not the system's fault.

God no to Chip Long. Would rather have Tim Beck if we’re going after another fired coordinator.

Brian Kelly only hires a certain kind of person... a POS. Elko is that way and so is Chip Long.

I would consider a co-coordinator design and pair someone like Beck (power spread/Urban Meyer and Tom Herman offense) with his recruiting ability to go along with a younger upcoming guy... maybe even Ken Dorsey who has been in similar systems in the NFL. Doesn’t have to be those 2 but we need to stay away from only having 1 guy that can have input and 1 guy that can call plays etc.

Thing is he almost completely f*cked up the 1st round. He fired some good recruiters off the last staff and hired only what??? 1 or 2 decent guys on the new staff neither of which are the 2 most important OC & OL. Youre right he's running out of moves, he needs to get some safe, proven hires on the next move.

Yeah man, getting rid of the last tightends coach was definitely a mistake, i still would've kept coach dugans too. But we not only need good coaches, we need guys that know how to motivate the players they're coaching, if not, this team is going to be stale. Hopefully for real, coach diaz lays the Turn-over chain to bed, and all the gimmicks, use that for ACC championship games and above only, get rid of the counting who's cheering, manny needs to be slapped for that. We need to get back to authenticy, no manufactered bullshat!

100%. ND kids HATED him. Every ND fan I know is really happy he's going.

I posted this in another thread, but there's also this:

2017
v. Georgia - 19 points
@ Miami - 8 points
@ Stanfrd - 20 points

2018
v. Clemson - 3 points

2019
@ UGA - 17 points
@ Michigan - 14 points

His offenses stink against good teams. Do not hire this bum.
Agreed. Long lives in my neighborhood. I know quite a bit about him, but I’ll just say I completely agree we should stay far, far away from him. Clark Lea, on the other hand, is a very good coach and person and an extremely hard worker. Whoever is smart enough to take a chance on him as a head coach will have one of the great young coaches in the game.

To be fair, Miami plays in the ACC Coastal. We only play 1-2 good teams a year. At this point, I'd settle for winning the games they're supposed to win.

*This is not an endorsement of Long. Just a statement that we don't need a perfect hire, just not an awful one.

Think that he's the guy that probably replaces Kelly at ND, unless Vanderbilt moves on from Mason after next season (Lea is a Vandy alum).

Lea's a very good coordinator and will be a HC soon.

I'm so beat up as a fan that I'm still skeptical. Hopefully it's true. Merry ******* Christmas to me!
With that said I can see Enos going someplace else and being somewhat successful. I think he would have done a good job at bama where the QB would have had ten seconds to throw to wide open wide receivers. Coley is in trouble if these reports are true.
