I think we ran only 66 plays or less. It was just the first game and we still had a chance to win but man did we play extremely slow.

We may have played slower than Al Golden and Paul Johnson. To be fair maybe that pace kept us in the game and is the reason it gave a chance to win at the end

But personally I think we need to speed up a little

First f**king game with r-freshman quarterback, an entirely new offensive staff and scheme and an offensive line loaded with freshmen—up against the #8 team in the nation with great corners and a solid front seven.

Relax.

I hear you but we need to pick up the pace a little. Seems like it was taking forever to get the play call in and out of the huddle

Agree with the timeliness of play calling, but YOU, yourself said the pace of the Game May have contributed to us being in it with good shot at winning it.

I think we'll see significant adjustments here for UNC game. Jarren recognized it and commented post game. As he said, he didn't know what to expect and now he has a feel for real speed in the game.

The reason it was slow, is because avoiding turnovers was a priority. Also, JW had been lauded as viewing multiple reads vs staring down one man the whole play. I don't think JW s going to be a quick release guy.

We especially need to go uptempo against FSU. Those guys have been getting gassed by everybody in the fourth quarter.

I think it is more their inability to get off the field than teams going up tempo. Similar to us under coach NoD.

I agree. They gas themselves with the spread/tempo going 3 & out. We actually need to keep their D on the field as long as possible.

Has everyone else been going uptempo against them?
They have been so out of condition and their offense so quick to put their defense back on the field that nobody has had to go uptempo on them, but they are bound to get into better condition by the time we play them.

Ok, so you want to offense to call plays faster, that only works if youre moving the ball, if not then you'll just go 3 and out fast as **** and the defense will be right back on the field

Offense, slow or fast, is not really the issue with this team. Not sure why people keep thinking there is an issue.

our offense eats up the clock and limits possession opportunities for both sides but it kills us when we hold the ball for so long but don’t score Touchdowns. If Jarren Williams started scoring more touchdowns this wouldn’t be an issue he has to step up.

I beg your pardon?

Against FBS competition, Miami is 64th in YPP, 82nd in scoring, 102nd in red zone TD %, and 127th in the country in 3rd down conversion %.

Through 3 games, Miami has a ZERO PERCENT success rate in the first quarter on 3rd/4th down. ZERO. Haven't run a SINGLE successful 3rd down play in 3 games in the 1st quarter.

But yeah, the offense has been fantastic. No issues lol
