Enjoyable article on a UM great

Nice. One of the baddest mofos to ever suite up for the O&G.

Couldn't agree more.

I will never forget seeing him at DE at his first practice when Howard told him to get in the offensive huddle at RB.

The ball was placed at the 10 yard line 90 yards away.

First snap was a handoff to Alonzo he housed it with relative ease.

The next voice you heard was Howard screaming "get this man a white jersey" (offense jersey color in practice back then).

From that day on the practice field to the #3 overall pick! Set the tone in the locker room as well.

Alonzo was a true Cane and is today!. A highly recruited player that stayed home, together with Braxton, Brown (Miami High) and Perryman got the local kids to stay and win at home. We owe them a LOT
